Why would the buyer have a third party involved? Why not just give the agent cash and be done with it. I was trying to figure out how you would scam on Paypal, my wife figures that the con men use a stolen credit card number until it gets found out. By the time you get told that it was a stolen number, your stuff is gone.

it's a '93, white tank and plastic. not sure what they're going for....we've had it for 10 years or so, it owes us nothing....what's a fair price to you?

Hey, that's perfect...mines a white '91. if it's in descent shape, I'd pay whatever you think is reasonable.

Sorry for the hijack Mattiac

pay pal always protects the buyer so if the buyer reports bad about the seller the seller is screwed

yeah, sorry matt...lol. bacardi's or you a fan of the captain? :D

hey grubby, by the looks of the "for sale" ads these little bikes hold their value pretty good. that, or peeps are asking too much for them....? some of the ads are asking more than I paid for it 10+ years ago ($650). the seat on ours is in rough shape, I'm going to get it recovered. I also replaced the little rotating on/off knob with a "push to kill" switch after the kids broke the knob off. mechanically it is excellent, runs and drives perfect. you're gonna have to pm me an offer, we'll go from there.

I can understand how one would get a little excited at the prospect of getting more money than originally anticipated. the common theme seems to be offering more than the asking price, work has them far away preventing them from personally looking at the item, shipping agents that you must pay using extra funds paid, and paypal/western union. the broken english and poor grammar is the icing on the cake....lol

Brad was almost scammed by the paypal/ western union one...Western Union told him not to follow through as it was a scam....lol

My friend got a very similar response, after searching the web it seems the link to Paypal in the email is fake and thats how they get your password. There are tons of the same scam with subtle differences all over the internet.

I have alot of friends an family that phone me for advise as they posted an add on kijiji and get the same response. These scams happen to many people on a daily basis and I'm sure alot of people are bitten by them and left out of pocket. The people that call me are somewhat surprised when I tell them the scam. As said stick with local people and cash, buyer beware.

If he really is in dubai, I hear they really crack down on homosexuals. With any luck, this email ties to him and you take a scam artist out of the gene pool.
