just Bought a t3. Needed upgrades? Maintenance advise

Hey so just picked up a mint 2015 skidoo summit 163” t3 has about 1200km on it. Just wondering what all for maintenance a guy should do? Going to drop chaincase oil and take a peak, check track tension, belt deflection. Anything else you would recommend before hitting the snow? Also any upgrades that are a must with these? Don’t want to spend a lot of money but it is bone stock now with only a spi can on it

Rear suspension bushings will be toast probably. The ones that the rods attach too.
Ski bushings and rubbers
Fuel filter
Pull clean and replace clutch springs .
Just a few easy cheap ones

1200 kms is barely broken in. I've got over 5000 kms on mine. All I've ever done is adjusted the belt height, track and chain. Just do what was on your list, enjoy and ride.

Good sleds. I’ve got a 2015 163 x. 4200km. Most reliable sled I’ve owned. Favourite mods to date are 3 inch bar risers, and Munster ski rubber savers.

The T3 is probably one of the most reliable sleds made over the years .
Very little needed other then Maintance.
If you grab the rear bumper and pick up and down and it feels sloppy in suspension? It’s the bushings. Just FYI.
They are hard on them and they are cheap .
With springs in clutch’s ? It’s not the miles but the time sitting compressed .
Will run okay but not great if getting weak .

Love the finger throttle. Just be sure it is fitted with a guard.
Munster ski bushing savers, rear springs inserts and service the shocks.
Regular clutch maintenance and you should be good to go for ever!

The sag is common and some UHMW bushings fix that .
If bushings are gone it will feel sloppy .
They are in this area . As well as on other ends of the rods as well .

Ive had to do the rear top hat bushings, rear shock bushings, all within 500miles, on both xm’s ive owned, because of that sag.

My new G4 when it was new. I totally disassembled the rear skid and greased every pivot point.

Does anybody know any good dealers in Alberta that do stock shock revalves ? And where to get heavier torsion springs

There is a an insert that goes in the torsion spring that helps a lot with the rear sag, having a brain fart now and can't think of the name of them. Make sure you specify if you have regular torsion springs or the heavy duty when purchasing Suspension bushings and munster ski rubber savers are a must. Fat boy springs can be purchased at any stealership. 7500km on mine, 4000km boosted. Will be doing rebuild at some point this season i suspect actually I know.

Man I wouldn't spend your money on a revalve. I was for ever blowing seals out of those POS shocks.
Watch for a used set of raptors or something.
