I ran a Trygstad thermostat. It’s just a straight thru type deal. No thermostaT in it. Sometimes it will kick the engine into warm up mode which is a pita but it doesn’t back off timing on long springtime pulls so I guess it’s a trade off.
Yup they work well also, long time to warm up on a -15 morning, the powder freaks opens 10-12 degrees sooner so in a sense help get things circulating before its super heat soaked. Believe trygstad ran that style due to the super tight clearances on their Big bores, prone to cold seize If not warmed up to temp before operating.
