There's alot of brain washed stupid people out there.. Open your eye'sWAY to much gov ln all aspects of our life. It blows my mind that some people still have any faith that their the good guys
Some of the lab cost for samples are $1400 per sample and we have typically 150 of those per site. We need to mark stuff up as well, I’m not in the business of moving money We also have days of labour for certified technicians and geologists on sites. The costs are astronomical. And that is why it is soooooo much money
Here’s how that works. Friend owned an old oil field facility in our town. He had to get soil samples for the sale of property. They found contamination. He thought they would be hauling the contaminated dirt to Swan Hills so he asked if he could rent a trailer and pull it with his truck to save some money. They agreed. Guess where the contaminated dirt went? Lethbridge. Dumped over the banks of the river. Can you believe that? Buddy was shocked but trucking costs were less than Swan Hills.Only the government could spend $400000 testing a building for contamination that will go to the same landfill regardless.

The government is involved. Of course there's gonna be theft.Sounds like inflated costs to take advantage of the situation. It costs around $1k in the city to get a report and testing done on a typical house, and that's around 10 samples. Granted the houses in Jasper will be a lot higher, those sampling costs i'd bet are at least 80% just lining people pockets, or more candidly put, stealing.
I’m heading back home early in the morning tonight. Too much with parks Canada. Rules for ‘outsiders’. Contractors from Edmonton need full covered fencing, water spraying full time. All in respiratory protection with full time air monitoring. The local contractor needs nothing, just giver and cleaning up with 0 controls 0 monitoring. So decided that this is political and more and need to go. We did a lot here. Almost all hotels, many restaurants, grocery stores, ski hill, tram and the largest hotel out here. Have to return for many things here and some remaining soil sampling but not taking on any more. We did enough here, next week loading my deck on the truck and load the sled and ready for weekends.haven't seen any updates from rknight111 about Jasper for quite a bit.
Ellis Don took over all the residential spots in town and all over.Don’t worry SC lavalen is on the way to save the day.

How is the slush fund going to be replenished... come on man!Don’t use sc lavlin. But charge govt the same. Lots of soil testing companies in the ag world are certified
rm went thru this with decommissioning old dump. Had to test the dirt & water around it for several years. Got ag company same test but 1/10 price.
