I can see Im getting no where here.

Do some research on the timeline of of the expansion and its delays. Yes its been in courts, thanks to socialist federal, and provincial Governments.

Stop watching CBC and listening to Liberal propaganda.

I still can’t believe the east coast voted liberal, after the BS SNC scandal, and his firing of certain individuals.
Quebec had more sence IMO.

Yep ..you're getting nowhere ... Seems you have all the answers and no one should stray from your opinion ... FYI reason I don't support JT was SNC, his propensity for apologising and lax financial accountability - but you still seem to believe that only your opinion matters and everyone should do as you do / say.
Ohhh woe is me - must be an uneducated, lazy, welfare collecting bum from the east who hasn't seen the light.

Would you prefer Harpers Temporary Foreign Workers Program that as rampant for years?

Harpers?
Pierre Trudumb started the program in ‘73. Every PM used it since to help the workforce where needed (as per the opinion of employers) including the steel and automakers industry, packing and oil and gas.

LOL Don't confuse the issue with facts! Don't you know everything is Harper's fault according to Liberals.

I would have never considered this in the past, now I see some merit & wonder.

There is definitely some advantages to be had. I get the idea that in spite of all his rhetoric Jason Kenney is in favor of the status quo and won't back us like Peter Lougheed did when old man Trudeau was PM. At the end of the day I think we are still screwed by staying in Canada.

You're probably right. It's just too easy to moan and b*tch about how we are mistreated.

i feel that by the time a organized group actually gets going we may be into another election, then all bets are off. the people trying to get this off the ground now are way over there heads. you need a true leader to emerge, and P Downing is not it! as Andrew Scheer will never lead
Canada!

+/-900 people in a crowd, do not represent all of Alberta 4.4 million, BC's 5.1 million, sask 1.2 million people. passionate or not. 50,000 -100,000 would get more attention! sorry no matter how much you close your eyes and click your heals, u need people on board in the streets plus a true leader, wishing it so is just not going to happen! i'm in the wait and see isle. just my opinion,

any numbers from sask ,Bc , manitoba members?

i still hold hope that it gets done though!

Agreed. Needs a real leader and the people of these provinces need to get in line and show the support needed to get things rolling.

That said I feel it’s going to take a lot more injustice and unemployment forced upon the western people before something big ever happens. As it stands right now, it’s only an idea that will need a lot more money and support to get off the ground. Including IMO the backing and support of the premiers of at least three of the four provinces/territories that will be affected. Doesn’t sound like that’s happening with less than 1000 people showing support. Mind you, the leftardedness runs strong in Edmonton, maybe Calgary, Regina and Winnipeg will have larger showings. I doubt it though.....

As someone looking from the outside in, becoming the 51st state has always seemed to me to be the most logical and beneficial way for Alberta to separate. Other than keeping the money you send to Quebec now, I really see no gains from becoming a landlocked country. No worse off than what's going on now I suppose, but I just think this is a better option. JMO.

Currently selling oil to the USA for pennies on the dollar, best option is to just give it to them for free?

Even if we were landlocked and could only sell what we do now we would still be in better shape as we would only be paying for ourselves and not for the rest of the country with the same money.

There would also be many ways to sort out the land locking situation once we had some bargaining power on whether or not our resources flow into BC or come across Alberta without a tariff.

I agree, except the US can swing the Obama direction & stall the economy as well. California & Washington can be hazardous to our Carbon health  The West less the West Coast would have more friends in the South & they would welcome us I'm sure. Such a mess that has gone on to long, as a stand alone country.....I don't think so.....we have so much to offer.....such as water & hydro. End the softwood lumber issue once & for all.

Be careful what you wish for.

Good by free health care, hello police state and mass shootings.

I would never leave to join the Americans, despite our government I am a proud Canadian.

health care isn't free it cost 40% of your tax dollars..

and it's a joke...

which for me is quite a bit. considering I haven't been to a doctor in 10 years.

guess it's great if you don't pay much taxes and use it all the time :realmad:
