Your a business owner and you voted liberal?

Interesting.
Nope - voted for everyone on the ballot. They all suck. Everyone gets to make their own choice in a democracy - I chose none of the above. Just getting tired of people telling me how I should vote or hurling insults because their candidate lost.
Yes I'm a business owner and pay lots of tax - all the parties are equally adept at picking pockets! Provincial PCs did a stellar job of squandering our oil windfall. More elections I see the more they're all alike. Still no need to be dicks about it so lets just move on.

How quick you forget ...Lord Danny - a staunch PC - left the house in a mess with Muskrat Falls .. He's also responsible for the ABC (anyone but conservative) campaign when he got pissed with Harper ....so you blame tbe liberals ....seems like you drank too much of the punch ...
Btw I'm not your Bro ...

I think your missing the point. How may of your buds or family members or people you know, fly to Fort mac for their shift and fly home??? Those people take tax money out of the province. Same as for people in Nova Scotia, and any non resident worker.

Your referring to Muskrat Falls??? Humm seems as if SNC-Lavalin has a part in a Dam that should of not been built.

Let’s face it. Quebec and the maritimes are welfare provinces. Large portions of their budgets have for decades come from equalization payments, so much so that they are not only unwilling but incapable of being self supporting. Like the natives, they’ve learned that it’s easier to hold out your hand than it is to provide for yourself. That’s why the east hated Steven Harper so much. He expected them to make an effort to be self sufficient, so they went back to voting liberal because they knew their reward would be more federal money, courtesy of Alberta, Saskatchewan and BC.

You know what - your entitled to your opinion and I to mine. I can make lots of generalizations about the west too but don't think that they would help. Seems that only your opinion and beliefs matter. Someday the shoe will again be on the other foot as it has been in the past.

Pipeline will likely get built but give it another 20 years and demand for oil / environmental constraints will greatly diminish demand / prices regardless of who's in power. FTR I agree that the pipeline should have been built - why wasn't it built while PCs ruled?

Ok so now I'm missing your point - guess that facts don't matter as much as your opinion. Govermnents federally and provincially F'd NL over regardless of stripe. Not sure how I'm missing your point. Perhaps you've become the proverbial "snowflake" and need to resort to your feelings rather than facts to justify your position.

Most of my "buds" live and work here - engineers, teachers, tradespeople, labourours, and some unemployed too, etc.
I do know some people who work / live / travel out west - same for BC, territories, US, Africa, Norway and many other places. Not sure I would want their life so I don't envy them nor do I begrudge them.

Lol Im a snowflake? Who’s posted opinion over fact first.

I didn’t support a liberal government, and and yes I spose you are out of touch.

Its time for Alberta to start keeping more money in the province. Whether its jobs for residents of Alberta first, or charge out of province workers Alberta income tax as well as their home province tax.

The trouble is the "Where's my free chit" crowd has a bigger voice in govt than those that fund the "free chit" ... Anybody else have a problem with this? I work to support my family not theirs...
Long and short is if the west separates the "free chit crowd" can leave too.. The remaining would be far better off....

Id like to see less of my taxes go federally and stay in the province.
Im fed up with supporting other provinces with my tax dollars, especially those provinces that always have their hand out.

In a more equitable democracy this would be great however no matter whose driving the west will always pay..

Ahh see misinformation from the east, good ole CBC.
Harper did get a very important section of the trans Mountain Pipeline done, called the anchor loop pipeline.
Its been twinned through a National park for the last 12 years. Big difference is, he was a businessman, not a drama teacher.

There are alot of other pipelines that were started under Harper but Trudeau is scared to talk about.

Here is a list of pipelines started and some completed under Harpers Govt. Its not a CBC article so you may have to open minded about it.

Ahhh but didn't finish ... not done till you reach shipping terminal so again why didn't it get finished - you were blue federally and provincially if I recall ....

Appreciate that your feathers are ruffled but your issue is the failure of current and previous govts to get the job done - anger shouldn't be with fellow Cdns many of whom work with and support your interests - esp those who live in the east!

Lol My Govt. your grasping at straws here.

I think you should do some research on the topic.

The first expansion in the park, was the first stage of the build that was already approved and had to go in the ground before the deadline expired. I didn’t see anyone protesting that or raising a fuss protesting it.

The rest of the project was approved in 2013.
In 2015 Kinder Morgan sent the application to NEB to build the second line of the Pipeline, everything went downhill from there.

So Trudeau could not get one piece of iron in the ground in four years even after buying it.
Do you think Harper could do it in 6mths in a election year????

Trudeau delayed it to the point it was going to be canceled, than in true liberal form he spent 4.5 billion to buy it, just to keep the carrot dangling in limbo.

So was it approved or wasn't it approved .. Seems to me that once you have approval your ready to go....put shovels in ground and go ....if govt changed to rules or withdrew approval then you go to court .... Simple case of **** or get off the pot ...

I can see Im getting no where here.

Do some research on the timeline of of the expansion and its delays. Yes its been in courts, thanks to socialist federal, and provincial Governments.

Stop watching CBC and listening to Liberal propaganda.

I still can’t believe the east coast voted liberal, after the BS SNC scandal, and his firing of certain individuals.
Quebec had more sence IMO.
