You guys might in Alberta, but Sask is a bit different. No special rules, just a lack of rules.

Sold a 93 Ford gravel truck that needed walking beam bushings floor rusting thru by throttle and would not pass cvip without extensive work, sold it to a dairy farmer he came put a farm plate on it and was going to work as is I asked why no cvip he does not need one not fair but he was only hauling silage and his own product I gag guess.

This is true but if we get stopped we suffer the same punishment. I haul past the scale all year long and its cheaper to get a CVIP done rather then the inspection and fines. Stuff that never sees the HIway might get away with murder until you have an accident.
