Look at all this freedom! https://www.hardcoresledder.com/threads/mn-bans-the-sale-of-youth-motorsports.1895665/
so are kids getting sick from some teflon bushings in power equipment? Seems like banning garbage food would be much more effective...

C'mon, you're smarter than this. Misleading headlines at their finest. They aren't banning power sports; but chemicals used in products designed for children. The negative health implications of said chemicals aren't even disputed. It's far more widespread than a few bushings. Most are already banned in Canada and other places in the world, so clearly manufactures can workaround the issue. To be honest, I'm surprised this isn't actually a higher profile topic.

But why are they banning them? (did you read the article?) PFAS, seems logical to not want to subject your children to harmful chemicals. They could probably start with something a bit more frequently used in the daily routine though.
Can't believe I'm agreeing with you on something, lol.
Minnesota's strong stance on PFAS's is the result of decades of pollution and cover-ups by 3M and the health effects on their population. It's worse than you think and widely reported. Even S&M friendly Fox News did an investigatory report on it.

What a pile of A-Holes .. thanks Trudeau & Freeland. This is copied and pasted from "The NATO 2030 Initiative overview and implications for Canada"

The NATO leaders have identified deepening political consultation as one of the main ways to strengthen the Alliance's political role, which is the overarching objective of the NATO 2030 initiatives.

Just what we need NATO running Canada. I know one thing for sure NATO will not be running the states at least when Trump is in power, his last go around with NATO when he was president he was inches away from pulling out of NATO.

Yes I understand PFAS and admittedly was trolling a bit for effect. However they are banning the sales of OHV's to kids. Will this make the manufacturers wake up and use safer materials? Hopefully, but little Timmy won't be getting a new ZR 200 next Christmas.

I thought about that after I posted. lol. I'm not as well versed on these conspiracy threads.

Let's be honest, the way Cat is going, little Timmy wouldn't be getting it anyway. 🤣
But yes, I think it will have that effect. If they can produce compliant products for markets that already have a ban, then why not. PFAS' as a whole are on their way out it seems anyway. The way I read it, much of the issue is in the water and fire resistant treatments as opposed the item itself. So maybe Timmy's snot ends up sticking to his helmet liner a little more and they have to throw a metal heat shield somewhere so the seat doesn't catch fire.

You're right I was going to say Snoscoot but nope Yamaha is done no ZR200 now either. Looks like it is just that butt ugly yellow MXZ200 that is left.

PFAS is also common in older firefighting foam. Company I work for had an oil fire in W USA facility. Now in addition to facility rebuild many thousands of $ in remediation for PFAS used by fire department as well.
