Well, you brought it up.....There were actually two videos with that process....the results were as follows;

Cat Test video.....
Sled Weights:
Cat 564 lbs. before riding plus 47 lbs. of snow & ice = 611 lbs.
Doo 558 lbs. before riding plus 83 lbs. or snow & ice = 641 lbs.
Poo 516 lbs. before riding plus 94 lbs. of snow & ice = 610 lbs.

Yamaha test...
154" Doo.................576 lbs. before riding plus 94 lbs. of snow & ice=670 lbs.
155" RMK Poo.........543 lbs. before riding plus 124 lbs. of snow & ice=667 lbs.
2015 SR Viper MTX...641 lbs. before riding plus 53 lbs. of snow & ice=684 lbs.

The Cat does take on less snow, that is true from my observations. But I don't think any sled should take on 50lbs though.( or 90! LMAO )

Kick that chit off ur sled once and a while....lol Maybe 5lbs of ice extra.....

Here we go again with the constant rebuttles and arguments.
I forgot why I stopped posting on here for a while... Thanks for reminding me. I could give a **** if everyone wants to get their own information the hard way... Unlike yourself just blowing air all day I actually have some facts every once in a while... I tried again anyways... First post in a while and there you are. Enjoy "your" forum

I think I see your point, who needs this crap.

Have you not been paying attention??????? Get you head out of your azz.....Dry or even dressed weight means nothing, it's all about the riding weight and the XM sheds excess snow better than all the others therefore the "riding weight" is much less than the inferior products provided by other manufacturers.

I guess you haven't been paying attention because this post is not comparing the XP to the Axys as much as it is comparing the XP to the XM. I was actually saying the 2008 XP was Light and the XM was a much better sled although got heavier. You are utterly lost, thanks for coming out though.

How many guys have ridden a 2014 M-8 and 2014 Pro back to back? I will tell you that year of Cat is not a bad machine but it certainly feels much heavier in the steering and front end.

Might as well take the thread out for a rip then, eh? :D . I heard that BRP snowmobile development is completely funded with embezzled funds from the Alberta NDP's $6 Billion loan program, and that Donald Trump backed the whole thing by defeating a gun control law written by Kanye West and Justin Bieber who just got legally married. Go. ;)

Yeah, but the XM has a 16" wide track which gives it way better floatation
