1956 Hauler - Boot Hill :: Project Gallery[/h]

[/URL]1956 Hauler. Some things are worth waiting for. This is definitely the case with the '56 Hauler project. It took Boot Hill Auto over 3 years to make it to Detroit with ...

My brother did a lot on this build, he's a metal fabricator, welder/fitter for over 30 years and has created some really cool stuff. This guy [Ron] spent over 900k on this [3rd build]....we don't sit at that snack table. He had the very first fuel injected nascar motor custom built for this truck, somewhere around 55/60 grand. He sat down with Jack Roush and told him he'd pay for all the retooling needed 'cause "Jack only builds carbureted engines" ....you have to much money when...
I got to see the whole build, two blocks away from my house. Nothing untouched on this truck, some very subtle mods...chopped roof 2", moved pillers back to give it a factory looking sun visor, widened the rear fenders 2", narrowed the box 2", remove rubber weather strip around windshield and back window, trick tail lights, head light intakes, valve stems in behind spokes so not visible, center caps custom made so they're right side up all the time [on bearings, 500 each]...12000 for the rims/caps....I could go on for hours.

I'm a vintage beetle guy, sold everything when I got into ATVing....pics are 35mm camera.
