I was about to write that I was going to tape it as it is on the same time as The Walking Dead. But I think that show is done for the year. Have to settle for taping with a reminder if nothing better is on lol.

It was about a mile.... Still got the shovel. There is almost nothing about the movie that was accurate. It was 95% sled folk who helped those horses. And p.s it's not always snowing in mcbride and we always wore helmets

So I caught the last half of it after seeing Trashy post it was on when scrolling through Max Thread. Never heard the story before but have a couple questions regarding the actual true story. Did they actually dig a 3km 6ft deep trench for the horses to walk out on? Was the wolf attack real or just movie enhancement? Thanks!

The movie was not nothing to do with what actually happened. The only thing that is the same is there was 2 horses on Renshaw mountain.

It was a good movie, except if you knew the real story, I guess that is why they call it a "Movie" or "Inspired By Actual Events"

I directed a bunch of my relatives to the thread after they saw the movie. they knew i rode there and asked if i had helped out. had to tell them the movie was not even close to what actually happened, they were quite disappointed that it was so dramatized and far from the actual events that took place.

It was seven years ago today, on December 15, 2008, when Belle and Sundance were discovered high up in the Rocky Mountains.
Sadly, Sundance passed away earlier this year due to age-related health issues.
