Here is my pics on CROWSNEST RIDES with our local club....

We went on a 92K ride on Saturday....... started off with camping in the Atlas staging area a bit west of Coleman....

We rode up the lower deadmans flats up to Crown Mountain and the over to Racehorse Pass... once thru the Racehorse we rode down the pipeline back to Atlas....

On Sunday we rode up to the Repeater.... the communication towers and then did a bit of exploring....about 60 k on Sunday...

On a side NOTE .... no more going up Grassy Mountain to the abandoned strip mine.... cause the mining operation is starting again....so if you have not seen it.... you will have to look at pics of the ones that were lucky enough to get up there in years past....one of the more specatular rides in the crowsnest forsure...

From crown mnt you have to climb a pretty steep hill that takes you to Racehorse Pass from the main big trail... there are two hills that meet together at the top.. the one up was too rutted out so we had no choice but to go the second one... we all made it ....

if you have a GPS location, let the Crowsnest Quad Squad know, I do believe there is a group applying to the government for funding to repair trails from washouts like that.

the fence is for wind control ... that's on the top of the mountain... there are 3 big buildings with 2 large communication towers there.... just did dnt take pics of them....

the crowsnest quad squad already have all the trails we rode on a map... most all that area down there is GPS'ed by the club.....

hard to find any new trails that aren't already on a map.... that club has it all done for years now....

and on a side note ... I don't have or ever have owned one of those GPS' dangled things.....lol

yes.... we here in Calgary are the www.calgaryatvriders.com association ..... on FB too...
the crowsnest club is the quad squad .... you can goggle it to get the web site... they are based out of the Crowsnest Pass....Coleman Alberta

rides are all listed there and 30 bucks a year to join the club.... and have a voice ... both clubs work extensively with SRD and the government...

Hey Sub... might join ya with the quad squad rides... in August... I have done the rides before with them....

the only place closed now Is to go up Grassy to the abandoned strip mine.. cause its not that abandoned any more! They started mining again up there...
so its a big no no now... that's to bad cause it was one of the signature rides that was a must do....

I will have a white Dodge mega cab with a redneck toy hauler (10 ft truck camper on a 18 ft deck trailer)

30 bucks is cheap to ride and see this amazing area....pay it! and come...lol

putting it on my calendar anyways to go...

A trail that we did that required quite a bit of ditch riding to get to is Trail of the seven bridges.... did that 3 years ago....
tons to explore down there.....
