2014 Proclimb 800 Limited 3” track
Day 1
Sputtered choked and would only reach 6300 rpm from parking lot too about 3500 ft, then ran great all day!
Day 2
Sputtered and farted periodically and at that time would only reach 6300 rpm, by the end of day would only reach 6300 and sounded like a 4 stroke of as one guy said “a sick cow”, I reminded him it was a cat (Doo guy lol)
That evening pulled it apart , changed plugs , check and dried out air box went over it as best as I could .
Day 3
Same thing , got too cabin , tried swapping cans with another cat, no luck... same thing .
Anybody have suggestions
Talked too 3 very good cat guys and got three different and very good possibilities
First possibility.....stuck clutch weights or broken spring
Second , reeds and or dirty power valves
Lastly and hopefully not the ecm or computer
Not sure if there is some kind of fuel mapping program or reflash for this but if somebody knows what this sounds like please let me know , thx
Approx 3000 Miles and the only upgrade is the 3 inch track

Could be wiring harness. Trollcat had problems with his ecm and turned out to be harness.

Check linkage rod on throttle body to oil pump. Oil pump spring gets dirty and hangs up. Been a problem on a couple sleds. Check ground wire by chaincase, if they’re all good check reeds.

Have you checked the safety on the throttle?

Was the 3" put on just before the issues??

Possibly, that was my first trip on this sled, the guy clearly was having issues and lied like a sidewalk . I love the sled when it’s working but don’t know the history .

I cant remember what my buddy did. He was having issues with his cat and he found the issue in the throttle. It was poping and cutting out.

I will look at everything as well as replace the usual things that wear down at this mileage . I do appreciate any input, will start with new reeds and clean the power valves as it doesn’t cost anything .

Sounds like possibly power valve, maybe a cable or servo motor, i have seen one cable fray and cause weird running issues.
But also the throttle over ride switches, especially the one at the flipper can cause issues.
