You're more likely to see the Ogopogo, or Loch ness.

I agree 100%, I can barely stand 90 percent of the farmers I meet. Alot of us are from farms with a multi generation hertiage and have a very shallow view of just how hard everyone else works..
We run an oilfield constuction company as well, which makes. Farming 5000 acres seem like a holiday.

Anybody know of a farmer around Calgary that could use some help with harvest.. I spent 15 years working with a farmer near Drumheller, it was 5500 acres when I started and was over 7000 acres when I was last out there. Stopped almost 5 years ago when my first child was born. I miss it and would love to get back at it.

Here's a picture of a John Deere 9500 (from 2001 harvest)

Would love to see your harvests. I miss farming.....:(

me too....I miss it terribly....nothing like the country...nothing at all! So happy for our farmers....lets cross our fingers now for some nice warm weather for them so thsy can get it in a bin. The last year we farmed we had 1800 acres that sat in the field. Started raining and never quit until it snowed...crops around Westlock look absolutly fantastic!

With the rain, I suspect our alfalfa will be cattle feed once again. Oh well, it's just money!

Do you keep alfalfa for seed or just forage?

Hay for the horses. Last yes was so dry here, we hardly had anything. This year the crop is awesome. Second cut was better than our first cut, just too much rain now.
