Thanks to great peeps like Pete and Al at The Sled Shed, Rene at Eagle Valley Lodge peeps at least have some where to turn. H2O glad to hear you still blow.
I keep telling you guys Powderlites, Macs Machine and JB Marine all have parts and can work on ski doo, you don't need H2O for repair when riding out here.

I used to live in Kelowna and delt with Banner there and the Vernon branch.I had no issues with them.Seemed to always have the parts or could find them quickly.I have had a similar problem with the southern Alberta dealers...I do not believe any one of them deserves my money.
Just an idea, but if people always ride with the same groups, discuss the option of everyone throughing in some cash towards a "extra" sled that you take with you on the big trips. That way one guy doesn't have to sit in the hotel for three days.It does not have to be a new sled, just a reliable sled that can get up to the alpine.I sure would rather have a old Summit 583/670 to play on then miss three days of snow time after a 10hrs drive...just a though. My bro and I are working on this ourselves so this doesn't happend.Happed to use once in Golden.6hrs of brutal hiway travel to ride 6km up the trail before oil pump seal failed and began pumping coolant instead of oil.Good thing my wirfe didn't mind doubling all day.Sucked big time. You can pick some late 90 early 2000 sled for $2500-3500 and slways have it available incase something goes wrong.Everyone has a share in it so nobody abuses it.

I did just that, bought a back up sled and built it up so that other guys could ride it or I could if something happened. Problem is now you got another sled to maintain and take with you on the trip, not as easy as you think, especially when you are the guy maintaining it or storing it. Late in the season we take the decks only, getting a trailer up some of the roads can be sketchy, but if you got 5 sleds and 2 trucks you gotta haul a trailer behind one of the trucks regardless. Also, if you don't have an enclosed you have to be cognisant of the bad guys, not that too many people want to steal an older sled but still. it is nice to have on the bigger trips but it still takes a bit of effort to deal with.

Sicamous is a hard town to run a business in as shown by BRP not having a lineup of of peeps to replace him.
Perhaps one of you can step up to the plate.
Otherwise BRP may just throw in the towel and bolt.

A malfunctioning BRP is better than none.
are you for real? If it is that hard then why would you refuse business. Its people like him that hurt the economy, why go back to sicamous when you have to drive to revy or vernon for parts. Lets see(4 rooms at 350 each,200 buck suppers at mooses everynight, fuel for the sleds 40 a sled and so on. Thats hurts the economy when guys are choosing other riding area's cause some d--k with same name as me doesnt like sledders from out of town.

If a bad dealer stops you from riding somewhere something is wrong with you. Just come prepared and bring extra belts and oil or whatever you think you need. There is other places to get parts than H2O in Sicamous.

I think the issue was a bent a arm. A guy can only haul so much stuff down the road with him. Lol.

I'd stop riding an area if I got bad service! easier said than done to just bring extra this extra that you cant just bring an extra of everything! the fact is this jerk off refused to sell parts at 2:30 on saturday and his dick weed kid lied about who he was so he didnt have to be bothered for 5 minutes. If i cant get parts for my sled then why should i ride there. it's good other dealers in the areas have most of the parts but come on now.

I do at least a dozen trips to Revy every year and we stay at days inn every time. We eat at Zalas every night and guess why. Service is top notch and the hospitality is next to none at day's. I think I'll stick to Revy and leave sicamous to the locals. I here h20 only sells belts and parts to his own customers. One day somebody is gonna shove an a arm up his ass and hopefully its brp.

man, i guess me and my group must have caught that fellow at h2o on a good day last year. had to tow a rev down and rebuild the mag side of the top end. that guy had almost all the stuff we needed, except a caged bearing and was actually pretty helpfull.

i missed the trip this year but the rest of the guys went and they had a xp that had some dpm issues. h2o got him in right away and fixed it right for him. something the other dealers around edmonton couldn't do for him. cost him $900 but he's just happy his sled actually runs consitant now.

i'm not defending the guy, seems like he's pissed alot of peeps off, but its not all bad...

Ask Trevor at Mac's machine or Mike over at Powderlites. They have lots of doo parts. We just got off the hill and everyone will be at the high school tonight for the auction & dinner. They will be there.
I know powderlites has some of those S36 kits.

i have heard the stories about h2o and they are not great thats for sure! i just met/rode with mike the other weekend...what a great guy! and trevor...he is a saint! i needed a chain he told me to come in sunday morning(he was closed) and pick it up, he did not have the right size so he MADE me one right then! i cant say enough about him just a great man.

Hit the nail on the head Milton, that phuk head is hurting the local economy cause he chases folks like you guys away to stay in Revy. No wonder it is dead here....great riding though.
It was me that told you guys in the Owlhead cabin the local ski doo dealer isn't helpful.

I purchased my first 04 rev from H2O simply because he had a demo and alowed us to ride it in 03. We snowchecked 5 of them the week after we rode them. I started having issues with my machine because of H2O's "secret mod" and blew the engine. After 2 motors I was a little pizzed. The owner basically told me to get stuffed and I contacted BRP customer service. They told me they were well aware of the issues with this particular dealer, and were looking into revoking his licence. That was 8 years ago. He must sell alot of iron for them cause he is still around, WTF?

Secret mod...what a joke. Brother in law had that doen to his 07 rev there. On clicker 1 it hits 8300RPM...ya they know what there doing.

I do most of my riding in Seymour Arm so to get parts its not just run out to your local dealer along with the fact phone service is sketchy at best times. I needed a coil and plug wires for my rev and i had my parents coming out and they would be going through sicamous late at night so i figured they could grab parts. After talking to H20 3 times and finally getting someone who would actually check to see if they had the parts which they did, I paid for them on my credit card and was told they would be left outside for my parents to pick up as they passed through. My parents got there around 10pm and no parts so they got a hotel room. The next morning when H20 opened they went in and were told they dont really concern themselves with the out of towners to much as they are more a headache than its worth. What a dick. Macs Machine on the other hand is one of the best guys I have ever met and if he was a dealer that is where I would be buying my new machine i am snowchecking.

Ken - you and I will already have to agree to disagree on H2O. You know where I stand.

Milton - that sucks he wouldn't help you, but being it was Saturday when they normally close at noon and they were most likely rushing to get on a plane to get to the dealer show in FL. could the response have been more welcoming, yeah probably, but it is what it is.

I'll be one of the few who actually prefer to deal with H2O. I have been screwed around by dealers in Calgary more times then not, getting false info, screwed on parts, no discounts after buying sleds from them that I gladly will deal with a dealer out of province who treats me with a little appreciation as I bought my last sled there.

Is it true he treats guys like crap when they don't purchase sleds from him? Sure, maybe? My 09 wasn't purchased from him, had an issue with it early last winter, stopped in a 900am on a saturday morning, told me to go for coffee and had it fixed by 1000. I've been in there multiple times when he is working on a Sunday to fix someones junk who's week is going to be ruined because they don't maintain their crap and expect a small one person dealer to drop everything and fix it for them.

If I sold anything performance related and time and time again someone came to me to do the work but hadn't made the initial purchase from me, I might get a little tired of that. Is it bad buisness? Well I don't own the buisness so its not for me to say what works and what doesn't work. Are other buisnesses out there doing better and making more people happy? Maybe. I have been into Powderlites a few times and I sure as heck won't go back. Standing in there while Dave trys to figure out the cash machine being ignored...no thanks. Macs is great, helped us out a few times, as is the Poo dealer up the road who has helped out our Poo riding buddies. I also ride in Nelson throughout the winter, Playmor...I know people who love dealing with them. I get the Calgarian treatment when I am out there, need some help? Sorry can't help you.

I guess I must be the lucky 1% of customers happy with H2O. Not because I can't say enough good about him, but I don't have anything bad to say either.

2:00 on saturday is a joke especially when you are closed again on the monday! rushing out to the dealer show i think not! it was his kid who was at the front gate with his girlfriend saying he was the cleaner and had no idea how to get hold of dale the owner when in fact it was his kid standing there! who closes a shop at 2 on a saturday anyways if your gonna be open saturday atleast be like most of the other and be there 9-4. it's just really really sad when the locals are even saying good luck on getting parts and thats from the locals who are buying $100,000+ in machines. regardless if the guy bought the sled from you fix the damn thing that is your chance to say "hey this is what the other dealer/installer did wrong here is how you fix it" makes people a lot more happy than "excuse me do you have a spare a-arm in side for rev xp we could buy" "I'm just the cleaner I dont know how to get a hold of the guy". I love it when people come into my shop with a problem from another dealer it gives you the chance to be the hero not the zero like H20! I'm sure if you did show up on a tuesday to friday and possibly saturday from 9-2 you just might have a chance of getting work done. Just might is not a good odd I like the fact of picking up a phone at 10 to 6 at night and calling a shop and asking for a part and having them say no problem we will have it here waiting for ya when you get here! Now thats service and that is what you hear at places like rough country, sled, shed, eagle valley lodge, macs and so many other other dealers that actually give a damn about our sport.
