Grassland:
What a great day...fantastic weather and an incredible group of volunteers.
They have a little work to go on the organization of the racing and the awards but the rest of the the event was nothing but first class.
The M.C. was great and kept the crowd occupied at all times.

First, want to say Hi to Ericcthegreat and his buddy who parked next to us. His first time racing and he brought home some cash....Way to go Eric.

Grassland was a good time!! How was the after party? Me and my buddy had to take off early. Was a good event and hope it grows every year.

Locals were talking about it having a great history of a great party though.

1) some nice iron..... Mike from the eckville races working on one of his sleds...
2) racing quads, they were faaaaaast!
3) a cool front crest/bumper on my favourite quad!!!
4) alberta's fastest sled -- undefeated in last 5 years in alberta, i think they said?
5) a fast action shot..... Fast or what!!!

7) cool arctic cat windshield!!! Sled did go pretty good too!

1) sledbunnyracing hitting an awesome lite!! He won, of course!
2) chef jr. Highmark cooking up some hotdogs in the trailer(thanks for all your help little buddy -- he also won 2 or 3 door prizes!!!!)
3) at the quad pull intermission, snowandmud.com got a bit of a plug with rknight111(site owner), don(from grassland sales -- one of the race sponsors and all around good guy!), and sledbunnyracing saying a few words(big surprise?)
4) sledbunnyracing after winning 800 mountain mod
5) some nice paint work!!! 809 triple(very warmed over), was one of the finalists in the "pinks" race at the end($500.00 prize)... Sledbunnyracing was also a finalist, and randy zawaki, but they all got beat by a girl! My stock 800 was 3rd in my heat in the first round against sbr, and this 809! So i was out 1st round!
6) rknight111 in a "money" grudge match race --- our illustrious leader won!(he actually came in 4th in quad improved final too)
7) at the awards ceremony, sledunnyracing(1st in 800 mountain mod, and 2nd in 800 improved, and 4th in "pinks" race), 809 triple guy(don't know name, sorry), randay zawaki(arctic cat guy, and did very well again at this race -- 2nd in 1000 and king stock, 2nd in "pinks round", etc), rknight111(4th in quad improved), zahara zawacki(randy's 16 year old daughter, 2nd in women's queen of the hill), and steve tinis(actually yammi guy, but raced with randy and won a class too)

Now we get to do the other part of grassdragging...clean the trailer and sleds.
Be there at 2:00 or 2: 30 summitric....beers and cigars.

1) my little helper and crew chief, jr. Highmark(who won 3 door prizes, at least) loading rknight111 quad into the trailer after the races were over
2) jr. Highmark with trailer loaded, organizing everything(he is my big helper, buddy) ...... Thanks again justin for all your help with this event again!!!
3) richie giving brother david yurdiga(county councillor) a loving smooch, while they were working the "bar" after the races.... They were a hoot!

Just wanted to thank Don and his crew for hosting the 2nd Annual Grassland Grass Drags. The event was great, lots of volenteers,great door prizes, big tents, good racing ,they put alot of effort into this event.

We are looking forward to next year.
