I just renewed my restricted plate and there was no change at ICBC. I "may" have to get a permit from the RCMP but in other years I didn't.

This is basically for using the plow to drive on the roads. It says nothing about not driving on the roads without the plow. So I will see how it goes.

Early next week, I'm in the Pass to see about AB registration for our sleds.

ive thrashed my standard issue plate in less than a week, im kind of glad they are bringing a decal option in the fall

kind off offtopic, but when your looking for a used sled/quad can you run a carfax type thing to see if it has been stolen?

From what I hear this plate business is to reduce the amount of stolen toys, so in the future (after november) would you run the plates or vin to see if it is stolen?

Well unless it's been reported , not sure if it will be logged stolen , might take some time for them to get all the data
