No body ever asked me for my license when i registered sleds. Insured in bc and registered in Alberta.
How does that work Bob???
Insured in b.c and registered in Alberta ??

Every time I registered a vehicle ect in Alberta ( lived there till last year) for anything, needed license to renew

Like I said if u have a fine, u have to pay for it, before they will do chit for ya

Many places, not just one place, same thing

Easy, i have insurance with Capri. Cheaper with the bcsf discount. Take my registration renewal and sign the insurance declaration on back, walk into ama and renew or you can renew online. Dont recall being asked for license. Be renewing autos tomorrow so will see.

Dont need a drivers license to ride a sled?

Since I still have BCSF too I will check out Capri

Is it legal to have insurance in one province and registration in another ???

I could have left my insurance in Alberta on my sleds and registered in b.c

Insurance didnt care if sled was registered or not. Told me sled needed to be in bc more than 50 percent of time. Alberta registry doesnt care where insurance was from. Just wanted a policy number.

When I talked to Clayton at Capri, he mentioned that they haven't figured out what they are doing with regards to insurance and registration. They will have a policy in the fall. He hinted that it is a possibility that registration (BC or AB wasn't discussed) will be required before they issue insurance.

It is a work in progress and I am looking into the Alberta registration.

Doug, they knew mine were registered in AB. Just that I have a BC address, BCSF member. Now when I register them in AB this fall we will see what they say About a BC insrance provider. I cant see why that would matter. I have Alberta address for registration until I retire and make BC home. Then I will be screwed on that criminal tax, but hey NDP is here now so probobaly get that hee too.

I just cut the insurance off my sleds middle of April ( they renewed then) , they said no issues u live in b.c, sled in b.c, we will put on not road on province

We still have house insurance through them, cooperators also

But from a legal point, may be bad news to have one here and there, as I live In b.c

I really dont see why it matters where you get your insurance. Auto liability has to be icbc but everything else is your buisness.
