Yep your right. I just found out that yes you do. I didnt have to show it on my last purchase so I assumed it was abolished with the gun registry. The place didnt need to see my card

I think I know where your buying your guns lol .... I have heard if you say I have my pal but it's at home they will say ok bring it next time lol

Bought a .22 and a .17 HMR 2 weeks ago and have not kiled anything other than paper with it yet. Have not seen a gopher here in central alberta.

This year the .17 WSM will redefine carnage as it relates to the pesky "Gopher" I can't wait to obliterate the little buggers with it.
the amount of damage it does to the steel rimfire targets I have is unbelievable.

The 17 is a great little gun. Reaches out there a lot further than the LR 22. My son has tipped them over at 150 yards. It pleasantly surprised me. They kinda pop when they hit and do a good job but not carnage per say.

22-250 with 55 grain supreme ballistic silvertips, that's carnage. Bits everywhere

I run one over on site with my truck the other day...doin' 20km/h. Kinda reminds me of Ron White's deer hunting bit....illusive little critters.

So with the registry gone you still need your pal but the gun isn't registered? Is that how it works? Doesn't affect me as I have my rpal, just curious.

This new .17 Super Magnum is moving at 3000fps with a ballistic tipped 20g bullet so its night and day compared to the .17 HMR I'll post a vid as soon as I get a bead on the little critters.

Why not just use a .223? Faster, heavier, longer range, cheaper to shoot if you use bulk ammo.
