Golden and area riding conditons for 2014-2015

I've been to quartz before but could someone refresh my memory on about how long of a drive it is from golden to the quartz turn off?

I thought it was 39.5km from the intersection to the turn off.

It's roughly 40 u sang miss the parking lot and there is a sigh on the right just before the turn

I know where the turn is i just wanted to make sure i would get there in time for my avy course and not be waiting a long time in the parking lot.

How's the weather there Zenk? Guess it was raining in revy. We're stoping in quartz creek on the way to revy Friday afternoon. Would be nice to hear some reports on how quartz was?! Thanks!

My course isnt until saturday morning december 13th.
here in red deer it was +8 yesterday and +8 right now.
I hope the snow is good. looks like revy got some new snow over night.

Talked to Slim Schade today and he said it rained to the top again at Boulder in Revy. Snow is junk.

Yuppers, snow has gone for chit in Revy SnoPro.
Plus 8 on hill.
Snowballed up in front of your sled the size of the your whole front end.
Rained all day! Snow is saturated and when you break thru it is sugar.
Unbeleivable for this time of year.
Sitting at supper with Slim and it was just pounding rain hard at 900 and stll pouring.
Hoping that Golden was diffrnt, but seems it is all the same across the board.

With the heavy wet precip, things will be coming down off the steeper stuff, play safe folks, it will be like oatmeal if you get caught

Most definately.... Sounds like a really busy weekend for golden as well. Calgary snowmobile club will be out at Quartz on sat and Sunday for a club ride... As well we have a group of 30 or so hitting another local spot.

rode silent yesterday was great. no evidence of rain up top about a foot of fresh. tons of sluffing on south aspects. trail was gross. parking at the 46km turnoff.
