I just watched the new season and I was disappointed. Parker needs to grow up and get away from Tony. I wish new blood came in. Rick needs help and if he gets it will do good.

Highway thru hell is 100x better.

not if your a trucker, makes you realize how many idiots there are on the highway. Even us truckers have to meet other so called truckers on the roads. I guess they dont just sound stupid on the radios....................

Either it’s scripted or Parker was lazy in the off season. He knew about the water issues last year both drainage and for wash plant.
Freddy dodge will show up to help rick ??
Kinda miss the Hoffman’s no gong show to laugh at

As much as it pains me to say it, I thoroughly enjoyed watching Todd fall flat on his face.

i cant help watching this show and shake my head. When sheamus rented out the dozer for $10,000 a day to rick and then hauled the excavator 40 miles for $5000 i laughed my ass off. Totally took advantage of him. That dozer at full rate operator and fuel in is $632.00 per hour. I can rent that dozer for $55,000 a month based on 200 hours which works out to $275/hr +35 for operator+ $150/ hour for fuel.

Rick got raped...lol and if he is going to be stupid like this he will not make any money.

Parker is an idiot for not planning on the water. I think Tony beets is doing him a favor by not making it easy. lessons in reality are not cheap, but parker will be better for it.

Except that there is a big cost difference between isolated Alaska and Armpit Alberta. Nice try tho.

I was the complete opposite. I stopped watching the show because of that operation. Every week it was "we need 5 million ounces this month or were going broke.", "I have to fly home and ask my wifes second cousins uncles brother to lend me some money just so we can keep running" and then they failed every damn show. I've heard how much they produce on the show and what they actually produce are two different things, but the continuous failure was too much for me..

i understand location is everything and things are more expensive up onsite, but not to the inflated price shamus gave rick. $632 is the current alberta roadbuilder rate for that dozer, and currently our company is running anywhere from 20 to 30% below roadbuilders in order to get any work and be competitive in northern Alberta.

I need to open an equipment rental buisness in the yukon....

You should sell everything, pack up, move to Yukon and put Shamus out of business.

I haven't seen this episode so don't full understand the circumstance but you can bet they were running that dozer at least 12hrs a day which is $7,584 so $10k/day isn't awesome but not that out of line if it was needed in high season on short notice in BFE Yukon.

fuel was cheaper in Whitehorse than at home, no carbon tax in the Yukon

Especially when it didn't cost him any money to get it onsite.

Trucking up there isn't cheap. And the mines are not close to town.
