Once the district gives in and allows me to subdivide our acreage I'm gonna be building a amazing house and shop! Good work on yours overkill the progression was nice to see. That Porsche is alright too

The go- cart is my brother in laws. Fun to drive in town but u can fricking have it on long trips. It's unreal rough. But 90's at 80 k no problem!
It made me laugh, I pulled my mega cab out so he could park in garage for the night. It looks like a fisher price toy compared to the MC! I told him to leave it in the garage for the summer!! He laughed and said deal but ill bring it down in the fall for the winter!

Beautiful garage! I;m looking at building a 24X28 this year. i was wondering who did your concrete work?
For that size I don't think you will need a frost wall... But Marshals did my frost wall/ footings. But the only guy in the world I would let in to pour and finish is Ben Scavo! Known him for 20 odd years. The ONLY contractor I did not ask or get a quote from. He did a friend of mine' s shop floor! I told Ben I don't care what it takes... Just make it better than his! Lol.
Concrete came at 9am... Ben didn't leave till 3am.

For that size your footings would have to be below frost level.
24x28 Is 678sqft
I think city of Red Deer bylaw is anything over 700 needs footing/ frost plan submitted for approval. But its been awhile since I looked. I'm sure the cycle alarm has gone off !!! Pretty much any post with the word concrete in it!

Yea I'm not sure what the minimum size is. Havnt ever ran into that. Everything I ever do is if so its obvious it needs it.

My garage in Leduc is 1000 sq feet attached. That's all they would let me do.

Well with less than a week to the boys birthday party and 30+ weather! The wife decided to try to kill me! We never did like the way the yard sloped to the new garage. So with out ripping up the entire yard and get a better grade, I built this with a drainage ditch underneath plus weeping tile!!! Hooreee it's freaking hot!
