Re: Frequency List/CHIRP Image for Sledding & Baofeng Radios

I programed my radio and I can hear others but they cant hear me. What should the ctcss setting be at? I have all the RR channels programed in but worried the squelch numbers are wrong or something? anyone have a complete list for chirp program?
Send me a PM with your email address and I'll fix you up.

does anyone have an updated imagine they could spare?

Thanks

Careful using an image that was created on a different radio.
Download an image from your radio, import the CSV containing your frequencies, then upload that into your radio.

Got a little issue... I programmed my new baofeng uv-5r's a few weeks ago using the csv in this thread. They are all communicating between themselves just fine on channel 15. Then we get out to the mountains and the guys run Motorola radios on channel 15-1. I can hear their communication just fine, but they can't hear me. Is it something to do with the "-1" part of channel 15-1? I seem to recall that is a privacy subchannel but I don't really understand much beyond that...

Any help would be great so that I don't end up tossing these up on kijiji and going back to the BCA radios.

Yeah get them to run on 15-0 or you need to set your radio to the right ctcss offset. I always just get my group to run on a straight channel no privacy tone.

Each "channel" has 37 privacy tones(CTCSS)
Way too many to store in memory. As bnorth says, having them get rid of their privacy tone is the easiest way to handle this.
I carry a cheat sheet with the frequencies and CTCSS codes just in case I need to set them in the field.

Hi Turts. I would appreciate the images. Would be a good starting point to setup my radios. Shall I PM you my email address?

I suppose i will have one for chirp which is what most of you use, that model will probably be one of the few that will load up. It will have a few marine channels though. Send me your email address i will send you one.
