Im okay for going camping for a night or something without a fire, but i'm not that heavy of a drinker and I go camping primarily to sit around a fire lol its one of the best parts about camping IMO! Aside from dirt biking, of course.. but thats the day time part of it - as sad as that sounds, I guess to each their own? Especially if the weather is slightly crappy and cold (which it USUALLY is on May long), I'd much rather be able to sit around even a little fire to stay warm, then sit in my trailer and drink cuz that is just sorta boring lol - I like to be outdoors, and its really not worth me taking 2 days off work to camp thursday, fri, sat and sun spend a chitload of money on fuel, booze and food just to sit in the cold, rain or even snow in a busy chitpacked area and not even be able to enjoy one of the most important and enjoyable parts of camping - a fire but that is just my opinion.
I do blame mother nature more than I blame government or greenies...not that it can be helped, but with having so little snow this winter, and very little rain this sping.. it is so dry - but a small portion of the blame could go to the people who do abuse and disrespect the land too. I really don't blame the gov't for trying to prevent some of the dumb fawks from coming out and destroying the land..its just too bad it affects everyone else who is respectful and responsible at the same time. It is what it is.
