Hey everyone! Is there any ethanol free gas stations in town? The cardlock is supposed to be supporting the FSA, so do they sell ethanol free? Also, is where do I pick up the trail passes and some maps? Or is it just easiest to purchase the passes online? Also does Coal Creek and Morrissey both end up in the same place? What's the best place to stage, and where should we head to? Looking for bowls, meadows and trees. Sorry for all the questions, but it will be our first time there and we want to make the best of it! Thanks!

I hear ya, next day out for me will be next Friday in some warmer temps. Hopefully it stays around I’m off for 20 after that.

We went out today. Sled was not happy after driving from Calgary. Took a bunch of work and some help from a propane heater to get it going. Played in behind rolling hills cabin. Found a couple untouched spots and had an alright day for being so cold. Super thankful for the cabin on a day like today.

Base still seems pretty low for this time of year. Hopefully get some more dumps soon!

thats the beauty of living where sledding is out our back door, can pick and choose the days to go riding. Still waiting to see if we are gonna warm up for the weekend before I decide.

I look at my yard and all the snowbanks and can’t believe the reports of how low the snow is on the hills. Tracked out or did the rain really sewer the snowpack?

I don't believe around Fernie that we have our typical snowpack at all. Maybe Elkford does but Fernie does not. Forsure we have more traffic coming into Fernie and every year it seems to increase. This area is smaller than Revy or Valemont or any other border town so we cannot handle the volume of sledders that they get. Mother nature has only given us 2 major storms all winter. This is my opinion about whats going on this season.

Not sure where you live, but at my place just outside Cranbrook we are lucky to have a third of the normal snow level in the yard. The snow pack in some areas of the mountains is close to 70% though.

We've only plowed our staging area at Moyie once this winter. Well.....TC Energy plows it for us.....but still.

I have a 4 foot fence that in a good winter I don't see the fence for months. There might be a foot of snow at the most by the fence

Sounds about right from what I’ve seen out there. I hope we get some late season snow for spring runoff as well or it could be another bad fire season.

I'm actually sick of looking at the forecast because when they give us a bit of hope of snow then the next day its gone its bullsh**. Sparwood is getting ripe for a fire and the pine beetle kill is getting more noticeable on the edge of town. We need snow its that simple

The only thing that will deter the dreaded Pine Beetle is -40C weather for about 10-14 days. I do understand what you mean about the forecasting!!

Based on last weekend, it is missing at least 3', maybe closer to 4'. Probed 5' at 5500 ft. lots of trash still showing in the blocks and lots of rocks still sticking out. When we were down 2 weeks ago, I rubbed one when sidehilling but got lucky and no damage. Gonna be an early year for the Elk Valley if it doesn't start stacking up.
