I'm heading out tomorrow, so hopefully it is open and roads are clear.

Snow reports are sketchy. Some places got way more than others so far; Elkford 5 cm, Sparwood 10 cm, and I haven't heard much about Fernie. Ski hill's reporting is patchy as they aren't open yet. Some say we are to get up to 50 cm. The snow flakes are too small for that type of accumulation. We'll see in the morning.

Sounds good, I am coming out either way as I doing some stuff at the house and on my sled to get ready now that hunting tags are filed. Bring on the snow!

Deaner, I didn't ride Fernie today. I don't know what the new snow did with the soggy wet mass that was there on Thursday. I have heard 30-60 cms of fresh fell but that is a big range. Surely someone who rode there today would have some pictures up or a conditions report.

Sounds like you found some pretty good snow from another one of your posts. Where abouts was that?

I didn't see anyone in Rolling Hills. What a mysterious place.

As far as snow goes, the better snow was definitely in Rolling hills. Dropped into wranglers on the way in from the pipe line. Don't bother going to the pipe line.

20-24" of fresh ontop of the crusty stuff. Didn't take any photos.

Hi bopper, are you saying it was groomed up to the cabin? I just got to fernie at 4:30 and just finished blowing all the snow! Was not expecting this much! Wow! Might have to go for a quick rip tomorrow.

Lots of stucks. No gooy base just the November crusty layer 3" off the ground. The snow is well consolidated top to bottom with no layers and the pow was about 3'. The 16" on top was blower. It was a blessed chore today! Always is breaking in the trail with that much pow. Throttle to the bar, dog-assed tired at the top, and one loop in the meadow and a guy was wanting a rest. A great day but a little cold. The batteries took a beating and no video. I will combine Thursday and Saturday into a 2014 first ride video but it won't come until later in the week.
