I hate lining up help for fall harvest. The first hint that government handouts are too easy to get ahold of is we placed an ad in the paper for help. only one call and we supposedly have 10% unemployment?!?!

by the way the only people intrested in helping farmers in the fall are those welfare cases that dont have a pot to piss in or a window to throw it out of. They show up in there skateboard shoes, plaid shorts hanging off there ass and it looks like they just got out of bed and its 4:30 PM! They dont know anything, one tells us he doesnt like greasing............ well then I cant hire you cause thats part of the job. These people dont have any ambition, brains, money, or responsibility. 3 kids between 2 different states! says he gets 2 of them every other week and would have to take care of them.........Im sorry I need somebody I can count on to show up we 5000 acres and cant afford to have help leaving at will. These people couldn't orchestrate an orgasam, or pour piss out of a boot with directions on the bottom! This world is doomed

Guess there will be no Swaggerville in the farming community in Manitoba this year. Lol. How much of the crop didn't get seeded because of the spring flooding?

Approx 2.7 million acres. And then about 10-25% of most fields are dead due to water damage.

I think SK unseeded due to water is around 3.4 million acres and again the eastern 1/3 of the province has the same water damage in producing fields as MB

After my tour thru western Canada I believe the acres of Canola is correct, the over all tonnes they are predicting, i do not think Canada will come close to that. Any of you producing Barely, there is NONE in the country, expect that market to keep on rising.

Cheers

Thanks Mitch but I'm wondering about the SW corner say from Red Deer south and angling southwest to let's say Taber.....

How much you looking for fs?

Friggin parts guys. Hydraulic coupling on a swather broke last night. Went to town, they had similar, but not the same. After trying to find an adapter for a few hours. I went back to the dealer, talked to a different parts guy, and found out they have the right one in hanna. Driving to hanna now.

Probably best in 10 yd trucks. But I don't know yet. I'm getting tired of this sandy "top-soil" that needs watering all the time and looks like it is sick.

I've heard that that Canary seed is awful stuff to work with.

We grew it 25 years ago when it became popular again around Kyle Sask. It used to bother me, basically strip to your boxers and have a baby powder shower. Now it doesn't seem to bother as much. They also say the itchless strain bothers some people.

who do you sell your canary seed to? I ship some volume to Japan on a spot basis? I have a couple container loads on the water as we speak.

Simpson Seeds in Kyle buys it so does Viterra in Rosetown and Swift Current also buy it.

What did you get for a price?? Mexico changed their minds and now they want our Canary seed.

I used to have an account at the Dinsmore Credit Union when i was working on the dam. I like the "keeps them thinking" idea......

Those are really good headers. They don't have U-2 reels, so you're gonna love them.
Couple of harvest pics.
Rotor in lead, walker following.

Done for the day, emptying combines into the tandem.

We just tried a bagger for the first time.(demo unit)
Still trying to figure out why they think it`s worth $25,000.
Been in contacted with US company who markets baggers, about being a dealer for their product line. Can`t say who right now as still checking each other out.

I think in the end it may pay for itself. One bag can be as much as 10,000 bushels. To buy a 10,000 bushel bin costs about $18,000. The bagger can make several 10,000 bushel bags. The bin gets full.
IMO.
