Anybody got any links to a website that will explain all the different grain marketing contracts that are out there that a guy can read through? Kinda like " Grain Marketing for Dummies". Lol. Just talked to a PSR from Cargill and they have 14 different types of contracts you can use to sell wheat and Canola right now. This is getting very confusing for us old dog new tricks crowd that have sold most stuff through the Wheat Board forever.

well here are some yields from areas we contract forage seed production: MB, canola anywhere from 9-40 bpa, province will prob average around 25bpa, winterwheat, awesome, 80-105bpa, spring wheat, poor, 25-45bpa, soybeans so far very good, 40-50bpa, oats and barley poor, corn is just starting.

Northeastern SK, Canola before winds,30-40 after winds 50% lost, CPS Wheat shelled out big time also, 20-40bpa on the ground, same as oats, peas, very poor, Spring wheat: 40-50 bpa

Our crops:
perennial ryegrass in MB: some armyworm damage average yield 800lbs/ac with high yield of 1400 lbs/ac
Timothy MB: 400-450 lbs ave
Alfalfa MB: 300-800lbs, above ave crop,
Trefoil: 300lbs
tall fescue/meadow fescue poor, spring frost damage: 300lbs/ac

SK North east:
alfalfa: 150-500lbs/ac
Perennial 600-800lbs
timothy: 350 lbs

Peace country:
Alsike, not harvested yet but looks like 600-800lbs/ac
timothy: 400-500lbs/ac

Southern AB:
alfalfa: so far anywhere from 200lbs/ac (hail damage/wind damage) to 987 lbs/ac

Good to here, I have 250 acres of malt barley standing and 90 acres Oats. Will have to pull the swather out I guess...

35 bushels an acre. Could have been a lot worse.
