Yes I had started on peas on July 25th, and ended now the latest I had ever before, seven inches total over harvest and everything became ripe over night..

as as for yeilds we also broke all sorts of recordswith lentils going over 50, rye over 120, durum and peas over 70, canola 70..also had 10 quarters with bad hail that we had to kick off a few adjusters before we got what we needed.. Just added stress over what we allready have..hauled to terminals 1200 ton, Put up permanent grain storage and still needed to fill bins all over township and needed at end a pile to finish off..

cold as as hell this year, love the heated seats in sprayer and combine..been in pants, coats most harvest, lots of heavy heavy dews, lentils would not dry down and took priority over all crops, went threw more fuel than ever before by a big margin

now need some time to detune, and protect what I have in the bins, many calls to help others, year never to forget

Never good to see combines still in the field with snow on the ground. I pray standing crops out there are still standing and we get a large and warm weather window so everyone can get finished up.

You canola guys are just now finding out that green straw problem us mustard producers have known for years. Lol. My cousin decided this year to Reglone all his canola acres and said it was smooth sailing with the Reglone killing the whole plant.

Surprised this morning to see my standing beardless wheat holding up well with the snow this weekend. Bearded varieties tipped alot more with snow still hanging on the heads adding weight. Had a couple mustard patches left that waiting on and they are flat with snow laying on them.

Been an ongoing project weaning calves, since we got the winter wheat planted. Here they are strung out pretty good. All settled down and eating hay.

Surprised this morning to see my standing beardless wheat holding up well with the snow this weekend. Bearded varieties tipped alot more with snow still hanging on the heads adding weight. Had a couple mustard patches left that waiting on and they are flat with snow laying on them.

We'll calve out north of a thousand Angus cows. Also run yearlings (steers and spayed heifers) on grass.

Good looking herd and grandson. Looks like that young fella has the makings of a great cattlemen. I have a few cows in the foothills west of Calgary. If it wasn't for the horses I wouldn't have cows (no cattlemen in my county just cowboys). Since 2003 its been tough for producers here in Canada with the exception of the last couple of years. Seems like we just got thru BSE but it seems like your new president may tighten things up for imports of Canadian beef. I know that R-Calf USA is anxiously awaiting inaugeration day. Just wonder what your thought are.
