My bad for not keeping my momentum up...

I stubbed the front tire into a bolder that hallted the bike and i kept going,,, dam near a face plant...

I ain't doing that again...

I got lucky pulling the back tire around when i hooked my 1 foot on the pedal,,, steering stem pivot at its finest...

10 in zero chance'es of that ever happening again...

I guess im back too helmit after that close call...

And...

Not too fear going into push-bike mode...

I pulled off a few dusters in the winter on fat"s...

30km of mostly single track stuff today. Fall time by far is the best time to get out, no bugs, not hot, the growth slows down. Hoping no snow for another month or more. 180km on the new bike, very happy with it

Wild day yesterday on the Ebikes. Girlfriend and I went to Leopolds( Whyte Ave and gateway, used to be old Strathcona hotel) for beer and wings, locked bikes to post. She wanted to go to e few stores. Come back and bikes are gone. I ask in bar if they have cameras, our bikes were stolen. No cameras over there but a customer saw 2 nefarious characters hanging out by our bikes and they went across street and stashed the bikes they were riding, pulled out bolt cutters and took bikes about 10 minutes ago and headed towards river valley. I went across street and grabbed one of their crappy bikes and girlfriend rented a scooter. As soon as I got to Saskatchewan drive I saw a guy riding my bike, i headed straight for him and said that’s my bike and grabbed him off of it and started pummeling him. I had my backpack , prescription sunglasses and helmet on .We wrestled on ground for a bit on ground and I got on top of him and had his head on the ground and hammered him about 6 times and his buddy showed up. I got up and grabbed his hair and dragged him away and gave him a few more. Both him and his friend( who said he had a knife but I didn’t see it or care for that matter)kept their distance from me and told me they just bought it blah blah. I was asking where the other bike was but that was a waste of time. I rode up and down the area for over an hour looking for it unsuccessfully. I was looking for my prescription sunglasses and the prick stomped on them as I was going for them. I haven’t been in a fight for 25 -30 years and use to brawl lots. If I had another guy instead of my girlfriend the guy would have been beaten until he told me where her bike was.

One thing I can guarantee is his face is very puffy and sore, he was bleeding pretty bad and I think I knocked some teeth out. I normally go for a ride on sundays and 3 of us are heading out shortly and hopefully find it. I’m going to where the one dudes tent was and see what I can stir up.

Damn wish I was closer, I’d come help for sure. Stress relief in its finest form is hitting someone as hard as you can that deserves it. Good luck and good on you for taking matters into your own hands. Not enough people left out there that would do that.

No luck finding the bike but I did find the guy that stole my bike, he had black eyes, lol. My friend talked to him and didn’t figure he knew where the bike was now and talked me out of beating him again plus my knuckles are pretty sore from yesterday.

It is registered with Bike Index and has been reported as stolen. It has Diety bars on it with 2” rise and a mirror on end of handlebar.

That sucks. Crazy story. I’m out often in the intercity. I will watch for It. I see you posted the picture.
