Not enough power with a sl,
I've ridden most of the mid power bikes and they are ok but just don't have the same fun factor as a full power model.
Nothing worse than running out of battery power 1/2 or 3/4 through a big Alpine ride.

Fair enough. I love my sl, very light and feels like my old evo for x country and dh but with a boost going up hills. Not ready for full power biking. I totally get it though. Prices dropped or deals are apon us. Wife’s sl is 3 yr newer and $3000 less for same bike.

Same here,,, a person is better off with a analog bike if your planning on doing high elevation mountain climbs...
20230513_142536.jpg

Most ebikes run out of power on the 30 mile climbs then it a boat anchor for the rest of the climb...

Mind you e has its place on the short steep climbs...

Nice thing about analog is a person can run all day without extra weight and all the electric stuffs...

Our friend in the States has Two Triple Crowns under hs belt...

Most humans never complete 1 in their life time little lone Two...

Hes prepping for his 3rd Crown this year...

Some of our rides are 5-6000' vert and 50kms. My Trek rail has never let me down. I've also had to tow an SL bike on a big vert day to help it get through the day.
