Home of the Original T-6...
20240820_182655.jpg

They make 2 version of T-6's,,, a straight or angled bar,,, angle'ed is better for off roading...

Theres definitely room for improvements...

It's been 46 years since the last time I road hook-bars,,, a bit of getting use too...

Riser and stem and don't fear rolling the bar forward... lol

She ain't a gravel bike unless the flats are attached... vvv

They say We're into a new season in a few Week's,,, thats the official start of the 2025 bike season...

Now we're into the best part of the season with fall color's too follow,,, thats when a person really wants ( Slow Things Down. )

Thats one heavy e-bike... lol

They make a f.s. fat tire bike that i seen on Youtube but its 87 or 89 lbs and its one heavy beast...

66 lbs is the max weight on my list,,, units below that Threshold are ok in my books...

I don't like e-bikes that are heavier then that if I have too lift them over trees or pack them across creeks and rivers...

44 too 50 lb bikes are easy too fling... ha

Nice find P.D.

A 1 hour prep for today's slow relaxing ride...
20240825_112436.jpg

Started off with some single track then transition too slab and gravel sections later in the day...
20240825_120321.jpg

Stand up and giver... lol

That's part of game,,, sit back and take it in or giver...

Don't be fouled,,, Narrow low pressure 700c tires work just fine off road,,, and a person stands a good chance of folding a rim or slipp-ing off a tree root... lol

The trick is keeping weight down on the rubber...

Best of the Weekend gang...

1000 watt Fs ultra pro by Biketrix. full suspension 60 km an hour if you pedal hard lol it would climb a tree if the bark would stay on. mega power. I bought a full Edownhill Rocky Mountain, but I still find I spent most of my time on this bike. for urban Rippin. It can’t be beat.
Nice bike... what is that?

Smasher bike D,,, and your not kidding about awesome weather...

I punted 1 bike this year and 2 left to go at a frugal cost...
20240612_181407.jpg

Pm me if your looking for a bike... 2023 aluminum lite-weight xtc,,, there pricey new,,, waaaaay more affordable used,,, i only logged on 1000 too 1200 miles on it. Ha.. too much time be'ing a pork chop this summer...
20240822_081940.jpg

I'd keep it but a new set of Old School wheels showed up this fall... I'm giving the gravel/ slab bike thing a go,,, I snuck in 80 ish easy miles this weekend like nothing on the flats with rolly's...

Single,,, gravel,,, the odd sand pockets and wet tree roots,,, hike-a-bike in a few section's and some up hill walks...

That's why I went back too analog for Our area,,, I missed the hike-a-bike crap,,, nothing like steam-boating up the hill too get the cardio going,,, a great work-out for the body... lol

The trick is too slow things down,,, life ain't a race for the majority of folks,,, a win win no matter what other folks do...

Be'ing out there at ones own pace too take in the fall color's is well worth it...

A person can be in any city in Canada and with in a few miles you can be in the thick of things...

A few miles off the beaton paths and there's next too nill of humans...

Time of day makes a difference,,, ((( it is said that there is no pepole everywhere all the time if the critters know where too hide. )))

The Farthest in terrain is on foot once the bike has been hidden away,,, ha...

Or

Pick-up and go !!!

The option (s) are endless once your back there...
20231203_114653.jpg

Don't go if you don't,,, Do go if you go...

Maybe the path below or the one above...

There's always an escape route my friends...

That's all for now,,, its 5 days of planning for the next great adventure...

The game planning alone burns off calories...

Cheers gang...

No more Ebike? I understand your philosophy on pace. I’m trying to learn life is about the ride not the destination. But it’s not working. I still rip from destination to destination. Shower with two bars of soap to make it faster, brush teeth with mouthwash to eliminate a step lol. one day I will smell the roses. Turning 54 this year.
Father Time is talking but he better keep my name out of his mouth lol

I hear yha D,,, i guess I'm in good shape or I'm not ready for e-assist yet... lol

One thing i don't bring with me on my rides and hikes is ( time.)

Funny that I do this,,, i go when I go and return when my day is done...

I find it counter productive too set any kind of limits of what im doing when i gear up too hit the trail...
20240825_112436.jpg

No time limit on it either,,, I think each and every person would benifit more if they work with in their own ( non time limits.)

One wants too giver and the other would like too hold up,,, the clash of 2 different time zones,,, unfortunately it dosen't jive all the time...

Lone Wolf stuff from the book of furry... lol

I felt like e was robbing me from slow and taking it in even though I was pedaling it not using the e-assit...

I think I logged on 5 or 600 + miles pedaling it around,,, I can do the same thing on my analog bikes less the weight...

Definitely slower but more relaxing for my adventures...

Its so easy getting in on the critter in whisper mode,,, sneak right in on them like nothing

I'll use the e in the foot-hills and mountains once in awhile,,, other then that it's just a regular unit i can take here and there 92 too 98% of my rides...

I'm not packing my e bike in the mud and grit when trucking when I can use my $80 bike so it can get destroyed... lol

A e-bike and all its rigging or a analog-bike at ones choosing...

I think a few folks enjoy the plain old pedal-bike concept,,, they have there own merritts and knotts...

My old friend said,,, if i can pedal then pedal...

I'm very lucky I can...

Picked a new e-bike yeaterday, Bulls Evo AM2 Killer sales at Argyll right now, couldn’t pass it up. Looked at this same bike two years ago, was $7200 plus tax shipped. $4000 plus tax on sale. Has the new Brose S Mag belt drive motor, super quiet motor, never heard one this quiet

Traded success for free time today. F working. Beautiful day in Silver skies Alberta.View attachment 286886View attachment 286887View attachment 286888

You should look at doing the bafang chainring adapter and smaller 38 tooth chainring on that ultra motor. Takes over 1lb of rotating mass off that motor and gears you down a bit. Easier to ride on the tight stuff, makes it more peppy down low and will extend the motor life big time. 38 tooth chainring is about 1.2oz, the stock steel stamped 44 tooth is like 1.5 lbs or 24oz if I remember correctly from when I swapped mine on my last e bike
