I better go slow around corners going downhill, thanks for the tips.
Fat tires work really good. But if you let your guard down and push it a little fast they can slide a bit. But at a medium fun pace they are amazing for traction

Went over the bars full speed going downhill yesterday. Shoulder first into a tree. Still can't believe I didn't wreck something. Pretty freaking sore today. Going too fast around a corner with no berm and front tire washed out
I did the same thing…. About 25 years ago in Australia 🇦🇺
Was on a Contiki tour with my (now ex) wife. I elected to go on a side tour. Bunch of non-biker Shelias/blokes, so the tour guy says..”oh, you’re from western Canada, you know how to ride a mountain bike” and gives me his new fully suspended mtb. Rode some real nice single track in the hills above the Gold Coast. Feeling confident at the end of the day, I was just cruising the last of the track, popped out on the main road right at a corner and there was a small crew all lined up across the road with nowhere for me to get by…. Off into the rhubarb, doing cartwheels in the thistles. Came back to the hotel all scarred up on my shins, elbows and a big rug burn on the right side of my face… Wife was not impressed, honeymoon pictures were not quite the same after that!

A person would log on 3 too 400 miles like nothing with Party Avenue in the evenings...

Hang out with the Bros,,, Heckle the Cop and Rad the Gals... lol

Lots of quite trails in Lower Valley,,, and a Urban Jungle in the Core...

Rain Shine doesn't matter since it's all about be'ing there...

Camp am Ride,,, do Coffee shop runs once in awhile...

Sneak a nip of the Creature into the mix once in awhile... Heee Heee...

The Cops will be looking for Us...

It’s a beautiful city. I really enjoy aimlessly peddling around with no plan on where to go. Like you said lots of sites and sounds. Some real characters to stare at if you feel like people watching also lol

Got it from Honda Xtreme south Edm. I forget the model line, but it has pedals almost 6 inches off the ground. They have another line of 20 inch bikes where the petals scrape you can almost use them as a kickstand. I believ this bike was around $3-3400 last fall. I had to change handlebars as it came with beach cruiser bars I put a motocross style on for 15 bucks. 750w hub dr with 17.5 amp hr battery. Plenty of range and pretty light. Front rack is available also.

Took the bike for a ride after super, slowly getting used to it. Took some advise I had here as going downhill in windy turns with gravel on asphalt gets you puckered up a bit. Took that slower. Then headed to Smurfs house and they were sitting down for Wednesday night rides. Then drove home so I got 8 km on it tonight mostly on assist level 1, it has 9 plus a Turbo mode. Took a bit to figure out how to get the lights working but Jeremy and I got them running. Good cardio and I can Definity feel my legs.

Yes,,, tap it kool on the leg pistons while a person gets them broke in...

Its no fun recouping from leg burn or set back..

Start off easy then every so slowly work into things...

Dynamic one's mussels before rides,,, a person can do static a few hours after a ride...

Think of our mussels as rubber-bands,,, all streched out makes our mussels weak and pron too tearing and damage...

Dynamic too me means harden up mussels read for work and impact resistance... almost like nott'ed-up hard ready too support the loads and stains on them...

Dynamic before a battle,,, Static too wind-down the day...

Avoiding long Streches could lesson the chances of injuries,,, especially Ones legs,,, hips and lower back...

Not say'ing this is correct but for some / most human bodys dynamic work-outs add a bit of safety factors too the many of our hobbies and sports...

A person will slowly get the body ergonomics dialed into a bike over time,,, I like letting my legs rest-down on the pedals instead of having too push down force-fully...

Thats where the bike gearing and e-assist comes into play...

They say it takes 35 too 38 minutes of free easy spinning too get Our whole body into the grove,,, providing that We got most of Our body ergonomics dial in too fit the bike...

If a particular bike fits Us like a glove the chance of pedal bike related injuries decrease substantially...

Of course most of this is for analog bikes,,, I Prefer too carry this over too e-bikes incase the pedals are needed...

I'll post the seat height trick that is simple too grasp and a easy way for too set up their comfort zone...

I Prefer setting up seat height """shallow""" of full Threshold power that allows me/ us too reap rewards of a """more relaxed ride"""...

Im a distance dude so the least amounts of human watts is the goal with exceptions too turn it on when needed...

All in the quest of running back too back days with zero flair-ups or potential injuries so I can reap the rewards of great views,,, spectacular Scenery at a relax-ing pace...

Don't get me right or wrong,,, there will be days your body will tell you too turn it on,,, and alot of days too tap it kool...

Some folks need too drop the seat lower too experience this loss in efficiency...

By dropping the seat down that far allows me too feel the huge loss in power...

Anyways,,, i place my feet exactly where I want on the pedals and the ankle-angle I want too pedal in...

Im a 90% toes down and 10% flat/ straight pedler...

I pick a looong flat section of asphalt with no breeze too start my """Soft Foot pedaling"""
I raise the seat 3mm and repeat...

Back and forth on the flat section as I keep raising the seat higher and higher,,, ruffly 17 or 20 + settings before I find that the seat is too high...

I drop the seat 3 or 4 settings/ or 9 too 12mm down...
repeat process a few more times just too make sure I've found maximum height...

Don't forget,,, the angle of our feet also determined what the comfortable seat height is going too be...

It might take a few days for folks too settle into their pedal-ing zone...

All good since We can repeat the test over and over... I logged on 150 too 200 miles fart-ing around on My T'6 bike...

The only time that the ankles should move is on steep climbs or powering up for very short stints... ankle flexing will tier out your calves fast... lock'ed ankels is a safe bet so you can walk the next day...

As the days and Weeks pass by I re-test the sit-height once again,,, my/our body ergonomics change all the time (Over Time) hence """dropper seat posts..."""

I find that if my seat is too low I end-up putting in more efforts then I want,,, if its too high my hipps knees and calves take a beating ...

I side towards the loss of efficency with a bit lower seat then over extending...

A lot riders end up setting their seats too high,,, i guess that's ok too since every human is different,,, set too low/ low sucks because it rodds horads of """free""" efficency...

The least amount of human watts letting the weight of ones legs move the bike forward,,, one thing about that is that you'll definitely find out the quality of your shifter and rear cassette...

A person will be shifting alot trying too keep a particular candance going...

I have a few candance (es)

Slow,,, medium,,, and Fast as I change them around depending on terrain,,, hills and wind lung capacity and re-coup mode and what my body is telling me... its always ever changing ...

An adjustment in that department changes the seat height,,, this pretty much puts me back too square 1...

That's ok since it allows me too log on more miles staying present with my ever changing ergonomics...

I'm switching my dropper seat post from my one bike this my new unit since I'm ok with pedaling around on a 60 lb unit...

A few things that I like about """shift on the fly""" dropper posts is the ability too constantly change my body ergonomics and for steep down hill runs...

Im not a down hill / down hill'er,,, but theres no way im going down steep steep grade with my @zz on the seat ... I'm a hang it out the back with feet planted on the pedals seat down and paying attention too my gutt and ribs...

Ive never feared letting a bike go and taking a face plant in the rocks or getting off a bike too slide/ skid or tumble down the hill,,, some times I get lucky walking it down or its a train wreck... lol...

The pros can ride that stuff out like nothing,,, I'm no where near that level I once was in my ski hill mountain bike days,,, Old Crusty ain't that sharp these days...

I carry this on all of my rides these days,,, fun,,, relaxing and stead with option's of turning it on or not... Each and everyone gets too decide what works for them...
