High up on the riverbank was a ton of Saskatoons ready and ripe had about 700 of them. Lol Then I found an abandoned riverboat between terwilliger dog park and Henday Bridge. You can see it over my shoulder in this picture. It’s beached on the right high bank. The White Blur. My phone wouldn’t pick it up very clear.

Lots of abandon wells back here...
20240713_154539.jpg

Tank farms and pipe lines are pretty much rott'ed out,,, the zones tied out about 20 years ago,,, they stayed at it till 2 years ago and pretty much give up on it...

Cost more money then its worth too bring it back on line...

Its not worth it for what little they get out of it...
20240713_154600.jpg

It'ed cost them millions on road repairs alone drilling new wells then replace the tanks and pipe lines...

+ they'd have too abandon the exciting wells if they wanted too pull a permit...

100's of wells and lots of old rotten pipe lines all rusted and corroded out,,, millions of truck loads of contaminated soils too be hualed out too the recycle pits down the road...

It will fall into the orphan well program...

Definitely fun be'ing back in the area close too home...

I used to ride those trails when I was a kid, Beautiful area. That trestle damn near burnt down when a couple kids younger than me decided to have a fire.

If yha want the challenge take on the old old Pemberton Glacier trail,,, 1 ish kms of the original road slid down the mt side into the Pemberton river 2 days after i hiked it...

It jammed up the River for just over 12 ish hours as they geared up too blast it free to prevent the Hamlet from flooding...

Massive slide,,, its NN/E ish facing and the buck brush is thick and full of bears...

I haven't been back since the slid but a person can hike in on the other trails too the Glacier...

Map,,, gps,,, igs,,, and vlm ,,, theres no way a person can get lost back there since a person is starting from somewhere going no where...

Lots of folks differ but you can't get lost on a round planet,,, I started using vlm waaaaay back in the day,,, my old Friend Windy-Bones shared its workings long ago...

If your lost on earth your lost in soul,,, it was something like that... lol...

Got too run,,, another great day lined-up of this and that in hopes of finding lost,,, make the wrong turns,,, hopefully there 1 way runs... Ha

20220713_145652.jpg

Too every end comes a new beginning they say,,, memories is good enough,,, the days of analog are gone and e will move things forward I'm sure...

A few more units too go too make room for the next latest and greatest...

Look forward/ think forward...
20220713_124455.jpg

Hike a bike will always be in the works,,, be active stay active even if We have too ditch things and hoof it out of the mountains... lol...

Western Canada has been great and theres a lot more of it too explore...

Load and Go has been on going for years,,, its the easiest and most peaceful way too view our lands even if it requires some efforts...
20240616_105337.jpg

From Gold Bridge too Meadow Lk and everything South too the US boarder ,,, old princess has covered alot of ground and i know that the new owner will do the same...

Great weekend lined up as I scout out a few more hidden pockets along the way...

20240722_175631.jpg

I re-retro'ed it a few weeks ago too chew up some trails...

I enjoy analog-ing at times,,, so quite and peaceful...

We've coverd alot of ground over the years,,, best $100 dollar bike I've ever owned... lol

Im going too get me a new truck this year for bomb-ing around...
20240722_212804.jpg

A simple unit with a four on the floor instead of a 3 on the tree...

The young folks won't have a clue what that is... Ha...

Just idle around lugging the engine so folk can hear valve-train noise,,, my Uncle Clyd said don't touch the throttle or you'll be burning gas...

Hed burn 2 tanks a year,,, other then that it was horses and wagon,,, he farmed right up too 2002 with horse teams,,, pretty much one of the last remaining farms too stay with real horse power...

Farm folks lived simple lives back then,,, they didn't splurge on frivolous things,,, meat and potato folks they were...

Kinda like my cheap/ frugal pedal bike...

The Good Old days...
20240722_222749.jpg

20 ish miled at a slow pace,,, it kooled off too 72 f tonight,,, I didn't see many folks tonight,,, kinda quite...

I got in on some smooth hard packed gravel roads on the RXC ( Raleigh Cross Country )...

Its one of those $100 box store bikes,,, funny thing is it's the best dammed bike ive owned out of all of them i tried ...

20240722_210953.jpg

Definitely fun be'ing back on the Old Girl,,, a bit of getting use too the 3x7 gear-set

A drive ride and fly run...

I hope the pack-bike folds down nice...
20240723_080658.jpg

Wheels and gear set,,, pop the bars and yank the forks,,, fold and stack,,, then zip ty it all bunch'ed up... pop off 1 pedal too give it the flat feeling...

Don't need flight insurance on the $100 dollar beast,,, maybe it will go missing so I can dig out my next chunk of junk...

She could be hot down East,,, definitely 2 big jugs of water...

Packaging is over rated,,, i throw a space on the rear forks,,, the air-line folks will look after it,,, no biggy since there ain't nothing a person cant get for it... my bike shop friend has it all...
