Nice unit Drew,,, you won't have any problems tackling terrain on that beast...
Thank you. it’s a great bike. The power and speed is incredible. I rode down Winterburn Road by Enoch yesterday.
58 km an hr. But like you said, you need two bikes. If I ride mostly urban and just just getting around, this is definitely go to bike. If we’re doing single track. My Rocky Mountain excels due to skinny tires, lightweight, and big suspension.

A person can't go wrong with fat tire units since they are true 365 day/ go most places units...

Of course 1 wouldn't go wrong with a standard e-bike either...

If I wasn't a all season rider id most likely stuck with the standard normal size tire bike...

Just me that is...

Scope out your area,,, terrain,,, riding style/ needs and wants might help a person narrow down the search...

Or

Say too heck with it and buy a few different units...

Ones choosing of course...

Maybe this is a bike I should look into for my first e-bike?
I’m on my fourth Ebike in five years. This is the bike I should’ve got first. I didn’t know I’d really enjoy it this much so my first bike I picked on price. I don’t know where you live, but if you’re in Edmonton, you can come by and take mine for a rip. These bike trix our sold at Honda Xtreme. I like that I got it out of motorcycle store if I ever need help or warranty it’s way easier being able to take it somewhere rather than an Amazon bike. All the big name bikes are all regulated to 32 km an hour. For urban riding it’s too slow. My 1000 casually cruises at 30km. Another plus to this bike is its full suspension and for $50 you can buy a rear rack. Very few full suspension bikes have a rear rack. They look silly but it’s really nice to carry a few few things pump tools, etc..

I agree,,, no one knows if they would like a e-bike or standard at first so it only makes sense too find something in a person's price range incase its a short term thing...

As for Me it was easy too up-grade since I got back at it in 2001 then took up analog riding seriously 4 or 5 years-ago,,, no brainer for me since switching back and forth from analog too e-bike was a easy transition...

One thing about it for me is picking bikes that hold most of there value in brand name...

I like buying service,,, thats why I deal with local dealers,,, if things go South it's easy too get things fixed and be back at it in the matter of days or weeks...

Just me of course,,, others get too pick and choose what works for them...

Find a bike that fit you is key,,, if I cant stand on the ground with both boots on the ground with clearance between the top bar and my marbles then I ain't buying...

At least a few inches,,, not say'ing a person can't do 1 legg-ed stops in most cases ...

Ive owned a lot of bikes over the years with tall """top bars""" never again since I'm long past those days...

The option of sliding forward off the seat has saved me a few times,,, more so in the off road catagory,,, or get keen too bailing off the back... lol

It really depends on a person's riding style and how one chooses too launch and land threw out the day,,, I guess a person that is a casual rider once in awhile can get away with any kind of bike,,, but as time passes a person soon realizes that the finer details of bike geometry makes things alot more comfortable...

No one knows this till one spends time in and out of a saddle...

There's nothing wrong with starting out some where,,, find out what a person likes about xxx and what might be better if the hobby/ sport/ way of life moves forward...

Im a firm believer in analog since it gets a person dialed in too setting up the ergonomics...

Bike fits rider,,, Rider fits bike...

I have a few more 1000 mile analog rides getting my e-bike dialed in,,, just the way I am...

If I can't pedal it then I won't own it,,, a e-bike is no good too me un-less I can move it with my efforts...

I'm reverse of most folks out there,,, Self-propelled first,,, e-assist Secondary...

All in the quest of logging on the miles under human power... lol

I ride alone and always set my own pace,,, biking is fun when one gets too pick and choose their own pace...

If I'm with others We pick a stopping point up ahead and that's where we meet at xxx time,,, if not then We link up at the next destination...

Great long weekend gang...

You can choose multiple tires widths. I went with 4 inch tires. Added a 2 inch Bar Riser cause I’m real tall. upgraded to 220mm brakes.

Had mine out all weekend at Lac Sante lake, I was doing there fireworks at Pelican cove. Thing can get scary, but probably just me learning. Don't think its working correctly though. On level 0, I was walking beside the bike to put it away and caught the twist throttle with my hand and it started to move by itself, after that realized that any number I was on between 0-9 the assist or power levels were all the same. Well Im glad I have warrantee, with a used bike id be buying a new controller.

I wasn't fast enough with camera today...

It looked like a high-end mtb laying on the North bound qe-2 that took a tumble out of a rear rack off a car or rv...

Owner wouldn't of even noticed it if they weren't looking back...

It was pretty much toast by the time i seen it...

80 mpr and asphalt isn't friendly too pedal bikes,,, bet 10 to 1 it caught air when skipping down the hwy... Ouch !!!

Ouch,,, why it didn't get stuck in someone's grill is Beyond Me... She'd a been a pancake had i clipped in the Big Rig...

Not Good !!!

Check Check Check,,, then Check Check again

Well I learned a few things today with my e-bike. I didn't know about the small black switch just on the left of my twist throttle, that is to turn that on and off and no matter what when its on and you hit the throttle it takes off. This has nothing to do with the pedal assist. This explains a lot. Now I have it figured out. :th_quad:

I like tapping it kool and let a work-out happen when it happens...
20240706_130302.jpg

I start off with a bike-walk for 20 ish minutes,,, then soft foot the pedals for at least 38 minutes for the body too catch up...

A person can feel it coming on with a easy warm up...

Make it fun,,, keep it fun,,, that's the best...

Ill track down the old jet boat landing next round...
20240707_125327.jpg

10 or 16 kms up stream from here,,, at least its shaded in in the thick trees...
20240707_125041.jpg

10 ish miles hiking the disappearing trial line,,, 30 + years ago when I hiked threw there...
20240707_173030.jpg

The shad is best,,, they had rains earlier,,, the forestry roads back there suck goats milk when wet...
20240707_162753.jpg

^^^ Daytona 500 when dry,,, moon buggy when under water,,, correct,,, this is a sinker section...
Pure clay the length of this cut-across...

If it's wet its a in and out from either end...
The road has claimed 1000's of units big and small,,, its a d6 wide pad or track hoe coming for yha if your down...

Go in as a 1/2 ton and come out as a 7... lol

Or get a tattoo for the head...

A

Big

((( L )))

Anyways,,, what a great run,,, its been years since Ive Been back there,,, 2000 when i first went in on a mtb... We started hunting back there in the 80's...

Pretty quite back there now that the roads are falling apart,,, thats where Us bike folks get going...

Find the nasty's and get at it,,, push pull and drag,,, tighten up the boot strings...
20240707_105058.jpg

If the terrain gets sketchy I hoff it past that crap,,, its way easier too hike a bike then crash or eater egg into the rocks...

Sonetimes i J hook the front end and drag the rear tire side-ways threw the bolders and washed-out rutts...

No one cares if the back tire goes where ever it wants,,, it will follow if we're pulling hard enough...

A high hart rate happens when We cross a wash-out or swamp then drag the bike up a 100 ft rise or a 1000 + foot climb tripping over bolders and dead-fall little lone the over grown sections...
Alberta and Bc have over grown buck brush trails...

There the best...

Anyways,,, got too run,,, I'm game planning the next 2 runs...

Local and far...

Cheers gang
