This was our decision as well. We got rained on heading up the trail our first 4 trips of the year, wasn't looking forward to it again this weekend. Here's hoping for cooling temps, more snow and an extended season!

Probably a good idea that's a long haul to go for a trail ride, Sherm and I are going to do a snow dance and sacrifice a Cat to appease the snow gods today!!!!

Thinking of heading up them hills tomorrow (if I can find a group to tag along)... is it worth it to go?

Headed up from owls toward blue - trail was frozen hard - hit meadows at 18 k - there was a very hard crust layer compared to yesterday ! As we headed up the shortcut to blue cabin the snow became powder ! We headed up to cabin - watched a few beginners on the bunny hill having some difficulties- and then headed over top then into meadows to find some decent snow - 8 to 10 inches and as we headed lower into trees there was even more ! Snow has settled abit but temps uptop were not melting temps ! Trail going up and down was in great shape still !

Well to the thanks of Billy and Sherm doing the snow dance - the skis opened up last night and gave about 5 inches of fresh to owls area ! We headed back toward Eco where the skis opened up alot more and we were blessed with about a ft of fresh ! Proceeded through a few ravines and bowls and headed toward ecco lake to find untouched powder ! Had a few whoopc's here and there but was a great day ! Had a mixture of weather from snowing hard to clear skis and even some sun !

Well not sure what dance u were doing Sherm but the skis gave another refreshing of snow over night -headed up toward blue cabin 6 inches of fresh and over top bunny hill and to the south west meadows were untouched - couple days ago it was tracked out - Today over bumper snow ! Was short day but managed to put on 80 k today - unfortunately headed home ! Blue skis and meadow after meadow of pillowy powder !
