Great day at Blue, Billdozer, Rob and Ed from Thunderbay and John from Missouri! We did the cutblock behind Cummings Lk first, untouched, then through the trees to the lake, beat up but some deep spots off the main track. From there we headed to the back side of Blue by 911, pretty much untouched, maybe a foot of snow but lots of areas to play in. Brown Pants was untouched as were the gulleys beside it, awesome snow, 2' in many spots and hit the gulleys and up to the lights! Worked our way back to the cabin via the top road, again, untouched stuff in the tree's on the way. Headed down the hill, hit the lower meadows, some gravy spots down low with not a track, until we were done anyways! My mission today was to get everyone stuck, and mission successful. Billdozer did take a cheesy pic of me where I appear stuck, when in actuality the earth gave way underneath my sled at 3 kmh! Great bunch of guys, will catch up with you again on Wednesday if possible!!
Sidenote, sitting in the parking lot waiting for the boys, couple of guys just ready to launch, the usual profanity blah blah but no dope or booze, just lots of yelling? One would assume they knew what they were doing, but then one guy asks the other where he should wear the tether, then they're both trying to figure out where the trail was to go up the hill, then as they're leaving I figure'd I'd try my beacon out in "search" mode, not a peep from either of them!! No beacons! As they pass the beacon check station they both just pin it and braaappppppp braaaapppppp all the way up the trail! Oh well, the avy danger was only considerable today, not so bad!!!

I forgot to mention, do people think the parking lot at Eagles is a dump? Beer cans, empty oil containers, wrappers etc etc. Total disrespect and idiots!! Picked up several items but more could be done. :nono:

Heading out next Wednesday for a few days. First time riding sicamous. Hopefully the weather cooperates. We had to miss the 100cms in Crows nest due to highway 3 being closed! And avy ratings were high-extreme.

Probably hit a different area each day unless we find a good honey hole haha.

Suggestions? I'd say we are intermediate riders, who prefer trees and meadows, with some nice not too crazy steep bowls.
No turbos in our group haha.

We do have a trail map as well.

Thanks

Sicamous is great area it kinda has it all - Blue lake, Owls and Queest area have what a mixture of riding terrain - Eagles pass is a great area also - just have to be familiar with the area
