Well that didn't take long!...Cattle prices have dropped 40 cents a pound in a week!!The guy raising the cattle to sell is the first one kicked in the nuts when something is found wrong with the 'system'..!!Just when it seemed like a good time to build up the cattle herd again now this!Maybe if the meat was handled properly after it left the farm there wouldn't be these problems!I wonder if the price in the store will drop the same amount as the live cattle prices!...Doubt it!!We'll probably have to do more paper work when we sell cattle again, that should fix the problem!:realmad:

Jesus!..Just watched the news and more cuts of meat added to the 'list'!!They did manage to find a way to knock the cattle prices down!Just so everyone is clear on this Excel Foods is the same company that got a whole sh''load of government money when 'madcow' hit!The money was supposed to go the cattle guys raising them instead these guys found a loop hole and they received it instead!!We're talking millions and when they were called on it they wouldn't open their books! The topic just quietly went away and they never repaid the money!!Big business at work again!!Also just watch either W5 or Fifth Estate had a show on the plant at Brooks. The guys they have working there are right off the boat and have no training and probably never seen a cow let alone butcher one! They also treat these guys like sh.. because no one from here would put up with that kind of treatment!I'm a little bitter because the price of my cattle is dropping like crazy and I probably won't be able to sell any this week till this 'blows' over! Also I sell my grain to a feedlot so he's not going to be in a rush to buy any grain!I guess my bills can wait!!Not!!I guess I can relate to the oil field when the price of oil drops and the guys drilling it are the first 'victims' but the price at the pump only goes up!Sorry for venting but I can see how my week is going to go!!!

Wouldn't be any different than Olymel hiring foreign workers! Got a buddy in the food industry, he claims that the Filipinos are the worst for not washing their hands after crapping. He has eye witnessed it on a daily basis. We quit eating out all together for these reasons, but fawk me if your not gonna get it from the grocery stores using feces infected meat from people not washing their hands. Almost makes you wonder who the fawk is the animal in these cases! BLAH!!!

food industry is going in the crapper, all about profits, seems most of the food products ya buy come from china or another foreign country. i don't think they have the same standards as here. i try to buy made in Canada, noname not for me, won't take much to have a world wide epidemic of some kind, as I'm not sure there is any hygiene requirements in china, out of site is out of mind, check the labels before you buy, you think the people working in the Chinese factory give a crap what you eat, ha ha

50 billion flys can't be wrong, a little shheeet won't hurt ya will it?

Really? So the guy selling one or two loads of cattle a year get hit before the feedlot selling 5 loads a day?

For us to send to the states from south of brooks it is an added $15 a head, not including the drop of cattle prices. That means we lose about $750 for every load of cattle, when we send 7-8 loads in a day on a regular basis.

We talked to the head of lakeside 2 days ago, they are expecting to be back up and running a max capacity of 4,000 head/day tomorrow.

Fricken Bastaches are using a machine that consists of a bunch of injection needles to pump our meat full of salt water (marinade) in order to increase the weight of every piece that comes out of the cooler, so that they can charge us more and they don"t even have the good graces to keep that clean! Arseholes! getting so that if I didnt kill it, I don't wanna eat it.
