My conspiracy theory, Nielsen wants to fill their feedlots with cheap beef. Will also drive the price of barley down for the grain producer....

The money they are losing from having their plant closed this long is ridiculous. Beef price is would have to go down lots more for that to make sense.

O.K., please let me know when the price of beef goes down at any supermarket. As much as the cow/calf small feedlot producer is losing right now!

I watched it on the news. All the people they interviewed were foreign workers.
Guess they work for peanuts.seems to be the norm these days

Yup, the anti union, anti Canadian citizen movement is alive and well all over Canada.

It's news to me we are losing money. Our profits will be down, but won't be losing money. Do you have a feedlot or a ranch?

The issue here that everyone seems to be missing is " what the hell was CFIA doing". Sitting on their hands for two weeks is inexcusable.
The cow/calf, feeder industries, and feed grain producer will all take a ch!t kicking from this gov fk up!! The only reason the border hasnt slammed shut is the American heard numbers are way down and they need our animals. This has nothing to do with forgien workers not washing their hands and everything to do with CFIA playing political games at the expense of producers, and feeders.

100% agree! CFIA inspectors are a joke with their cushy union jobs and lazy azz attitude. I have to deal with CFIA and USDA and in my experience CFIA is a laughing joke to outsiders.
