Wow Lenny. You sure seem to take these things personally.

First my comment was regarding a stupid Trump meme which are there to amuse and not communicate anything factual. I personally liked Harper's approach that wanted to revoke the citizenship of any of those idiots that went to fight their jihad. Having said that, how many of these a-holes are left? If they were successful fighters then they are in Paradise. Not likely too many coming home and I am sure we can handle them. Using a Trump meme seems completely ridiculous to me because I really could give a rat's ass what that idiot thinks of us or how we go about living our lives.

Trump sees boogeymen everywhere and is currently trying to get people to be afraid of a group of Guatemalans who are coming up to the US on foot but first have to pass through Mexico. They may be political refugees or just people who want to get out of a country that doesn't offer them any hope for living a decent life but Trump claims there are middle easterners amoung them so they all have to be stopped.

I suspect that since there is a thousand or so coming, they aren't likely to sneak across much of any border even if they weren't expected...but they are. Pretty sure border control can handle them and their immigration department can run the appropriate checks and decide what to do. Trump just makes stuff up to stir up his anti everyone that isn't white and from Sweden, or Norway but he does like wives from Czechoslovakia and Yugoslavia.

This thread is talking about Trump not Canada and I think he is a giant douche-bag who is completely screwing up the US and really has turned a pretty good neighbor into one that is much more combative and often unpleasant. Yeah yeah don't respond back with anything about Trudeau as he is just a different type of douche-bag who is busy screwing up Canada. Go post on F U Justin Trudeau thread if you want to do that.

My opinion is mine. Sorry if you find it offensive but really can't say your thoughts on my opinion will change it anymore than your opinions will change mine. :) Mine have been 60 years in the making.

I didnt say say I found it offensive. And you certainly have a right to your opinion , as does everyone. Here's another opinion, you and others with your silly PC attitude need to wake up and recognize the difference between immigration and an insidious , organized attack on Canadian culture . Trump is standing for the Americans, and America. who do you see standing for Canada ? And here's another opinion, Trump is about the only politician I can remember , ever, who is doing exactly as he. Told the voters he was gonna do.

He is doing exactly what he said he was going to do all along.

Well I guess our interpretations on what he said and what he actually accomplished differ as well.

It is easy to boost employment by cutting taxes but that comes at the cost of increased deficit which is now up 17%. Most of the foreign debt is held by China so I guess this will just move their foreclosure date ahead :) Oh yes - you need to make sure that the uber rich benefit the most and longest from the tax cuts not that they need it, but just because you are part of that rare group.

Also easy to stimulate the economy when you suspend or loosen pollution rules. Always exciting for a big corporation to think they can regress back to their old polluting ways with little or no repercussions. Think of all the money they save by just dumping stuff rather than treating waste as they should.

A big secret to stimulating an economy is easier access to money so you need to remove the rules on the financial community that were put in place to avoid a repeat of the 2008 financial crisis which he has largely done. He calls it red tape but if one doesn't mind bailing out banks that got into trouble through their own stupid dealings using public funds then that is OK.

You can create more jobs by revitalizing industries by charging tariffs on less expensive imported goods at the cost to your own consumers so effectively introducing new taxes which will neutralize the benefits of the extra jobs.

As far as immigration goes, he has slowed that way down for everyone mostly good people although he likes to paint them all as "bad hombres" and terrorists which is really just a pile of horse manure intended to fire up his supporters by playing on people's often unfounded fears so he can successfully "save" them. If his supporters were pro unicorn then he would promise a field of unicorns will be brought to life. Ridiculous.

Oh yes, if the internal "improvements" are not enough, Trump needs to needlessly piss off every ally it has by just behaving like a dick. Because he needs new friends he goes out to make friends with "real good people" like Kim Jong-un.

Now in most of these items attention and adjustment was needed as it always is but Mr. Trump likes to finds a loose thread and use that to knit an entire sweater. His version of "Making America Great Again" will take years to repair.

So these are a few of my reasons that I dislike Mr. Trump who is, to quote Foghorn Leghorn nothing more than a "loudmouth schnook" who delights in hearing the sound of his own voice spewing out mostly nonsense that he makes up on the spot. The world and the US would be better off if they blocked him from Twitter and kept him in the White House IMO.

Midterms are coming up so I guess we will see if the citizens of the USA want to keep the crazy train going or not.

So I am interested in what exactly it is that others see in him because every thing I see that is presented as a positive has an equal, and often larger, downside.

Do you think Hilary would have been any better?

They are all a bunch of vampires, doesn't really matter who gets in at this point. The US will never pay its dept off.

I feel the need to comment on your statement of Trump being friendly with Kim Jong Un. He is actually quite smart on this. No sitting President has ever had a face to face with any of the Jong Un leadership family in the history of North Korea. Now it seems rational that the US just hate them and carry on but the problem is now they have nuclear warheads and although their missile technology is far from refined any time one of them is launched they are a huge wild card for any country in the world. Trump is the first to make any headway on this and that is important. Lets put it in simple terms. People get into keyboard wars with other members on this site, myself included. I wonder if we would say the same things to an individual if we were talking face to face? I highly doubt it. Ponder on that.

We are doomed, even East Germany could not figure out the simple facts when it was staring them in the face. No boarders movement is growing in the States, i hope Trump grows some evil and defends his country. Canada is not and will not defend our borders under Trudeau, we will be transformed into the same sh!t hole which these ungratefulles come from. The comments against Trump are the same comments that were made about Harper.

No I don't but a big and consistent complaint from his intelligence, all his staff really, is that he won't read anything and once he has formed an opinion will not listen to anything that does not fit his view. Not as much of a problem now he has replaced/suppressed anybody who provides anything that doesn't fit his view.

He is also notorious for just good old fashioned making stuff up on the spot. I tend to do whatever I can to fact check political statements from any politician but pretty much anything Trump says needs to be checked. The frequency of exaggerations and outright untruths he utters leaves him with little credibility with me. There are websites devoted to tracking that stuff of which Snopes is one.

I am surprised anyone takes him at his word.

You and snopes are privy to the classified President's Daily Briefing? I am impressed.

Yeah, cause taking the information and direction from the FBI and the CIA would solve all the problems , right ? You've got to be kidding, that's how a lot of the mess he's trying to clean up got started in the first place. And, are you sure the untruths and exaggerations that he utters aren't designed and contrived with his agenda in mind ? Anyone who tells you that when running a huge company , or I assume a huge country , you should always tell everyone everything , or never plant the rumour seed , or never leak some doubt about future relationship to suppliers/consumers/competitors , is now and is always gonna be small time. Trumps a deal maker, through and through, not a politician, and it's very evident. He treats people poorly, he's not nice, he's arrogant , he's inconsiderate, poor snowflakes. Another thing evident is your fact checking is apparently only from Democrat sites or media outlets who supported Hillary and her band of crooks, cause your sniffer is blind , or allergic to any of the reports on any positive aspects of his governance. Does everybody in America think he's doing as bad a job as you , I guess we'll see pretty soon .

Trump's campaign message in particular — that "Democrats produce mobs; Republicans produce jobs" — delivers a salient message that progressives represent chaos.

The line above is taken from the link below. I personally think there is a business sense taking over in the US political scene and it is slowly getting the swamp drained. There is hope in the States and that is a lot better than the BS we are experiencing here in Canada. The latest fiasco of the Feds is absolutely ridiculous and IMHO, is just another tax on the working people and it will in no way reduce the emissions of the common people who have to travel vast distance to work, heat their houses, and just generally live. We need someone with balls to stand up and take control of the forces that are against us.
