I wonder what the next drama is going to be? It needs to be huge, it needs to get the left and right fighting more intensely. It needs to divide the USA. The upshot of all the rhetorical BS. Is that Kavanaugh is the new supreme court justice for life, fair and square. The American people got what they wanted. They had a the evidence listened to the protesters etc etc etc etc. Crap everyone new Kavanaugh was in from the get go. Why all the drama? In my opinion Kavanaugh is a leftist compared to Antonin Scalia the judge he is replacing. Look at Scalia's rulings. It's very possible he though the church should still be running the country and the peasants shouldn't be allowed to vote.
We may have our fair share of idiots running our country, but I'm still glad I'm a Canadian.

Criminal law typically starts with a complaint or allegation which is then thoroughly investigated by the police (in the case the FBI) and if charges are warranted, they take it to a prosecutor. The process or burden of proof hasn't changed.

We can keep posting opinion after opinion based on arguments from both sides of the issue, but reality , this was a disgusting display of politicians who feel it's their right to use any methods to gain their agenda or goal. Ford was a pawn , a tool used to further that agenda, and I kinda feel sorry for her. Hopefully whatever compensation she received for her participation will be worth it , cause it was fairly apparent her allegations were fluffy and dubious at best. If political correctness regarding the me too movement wasn't so over the top crazy right now as a result of actual sexual predators like Cosby and Weinstein , this would never have went this far. I think Ford is as much a victim as anyone, but she made her choices. And this idea that his decisions will be questioned, Only by the ones on the wrong side of the decision, and that happens every time.

Kavanaugh drank and chased women in high school and college, OMG, who'd a thunk it !!! To imagine that would automatically define who you were as a person 36 years later is absurd, if he didn't , I'd be more concerned. Good decisions in a large part come from experience gained from bad decisions. If you tell me you know of a guy when he was young who has never drank, never smoked , never touched drugs, never chased women , never got in a fight , never exceeded the speed limit , etc, that's a guy who I would truly not trust, cause he's either a huge liar or he's imaginary. Drama queens should be stopped from running countries, it ain't working.
