What's up with people putting there family pet into the box of a truck. Pisses me off a little and its not fair to the pet. Most times its a 4 dr truck with a empty back seat too. I just saw a young fella with white sun glasses hit the brakes hard and his husky slam into the back of the cab. A dog crate is designed for That exact thing to happen. I would never consider this for any dog of mine. How about you ???

Last week I when it was stupid cold out with a horrible wind chill I saw this at one of my local gas stations. So I approached the douche and asked him if his dog liked riding in the back of his pickup when it was this cold. Said douche replied with a completely dickish "he's fine". So then I asked him if he would like to ride in the box when it was this cold going down the highway. "do I look like I need your f**king help" was the response I got. Wife and a baby in the backseat. Perhaps his baby would be fine in the box too.

What? you don't like my dogs in the box??? HAHA don't worry they get to ride inside the hauler :)
We actually have 2 quads and they each get their own box, so its not as crowded as this looks...

dogs can stay warm and in cold weather if they are use to it... HOWEVER, they can not take being blown at a -30 at 100km/h down a highway... what's the wind chill on the that i wonder???? Throw in a pickup with a gas tank or tool box against the cab and dog is doubley screwed as there is no place to get away form the wind... anyone who has ever ridden in the back of a pick up knows that up against the cab is the best place to be (with the exception of my f150 no idea why or how all the snow piles up against the back window this never happens on any other pickup)... any further back and wind just swirls in there...what if for whatever reason that dog decides like in the summer time he wants to stick his head out and bark... what does frost bite on eyeballs look like i wonder...my dog is always in a create... inside or outside the vehicle... it's their version of a seatbelt.. in the back that create is strapped down even under my canopy... but my dog is my best friend/coworker i take him everywhere. Creates are awesome to get a dog use to from an early age... we take our dog everywhere... he never stresses as home is where his create is! The few times i have had a dog out when it was cold with no canopy... dog goes in create create gets turned so door faces cab to reduce wind effect... just saying... but i also bought the f150 as its the only truck i can fold up seat and place a full size create in back seat without having to break down the create first

you should take that picture and give it to the spca....

Dogs are fine in the box, nothing wrong with that, most bigger dogs prefer it in the box, more room to move around and can see more of the surroundings, also I dont know about you but that would be the day I let a big dog in the cab of my $50,000 truck cutting up and scratching the leather, getting dirt and mud everywhere, and getting dog hair everywhere, drooling on $hit etc etc. However when its cold out on an average to below average winter day you should just leave the dog at home if you don't wanna let them in the cab, bigger dogs are good in the cold but the windchill coupled with not moving around at all can be very dangerous for the poor lil guy. There is a time and place for bringing dogs with you places but if you dont wanna let them in the cab(which is understandable) then leave them at home in the winter when its cold is my opinion, summer spring fall, have at it, nothing wrong with a pooch in the box of truck weather permitting
