I've always run the rear hd brp bumpers... you can tow with them, without the breaking/bending like the stock bumpers.... might be worth it in your case

Had my heavy duty bumper on my 850 break. Had to get it warrantied. Casting broke right where the center piece joins the side piece. Might go with one of the new ones now

(2) 850s, 1 165X and 1 Renegage 137. Both sleds have ran amazingly well. Hardly any issues so far. Aux plug in on both sleds have blown fuses, I've had my hand/thumb warmers and headlight switches freeze a few times but nothing that couldn't be broken free of the surrounding ice pretty easily, that's about it. 500km on Summit, 350km on Renegade. Have hit a few trees with the Summit but nothing hard enough where I'd expect there to be bulkhead damage. Honestly these are the best stock sleds I've ever ridden but the issues are real. I personally have seen one coolant bottle broken after a hit (not sure what kind of hit), and a guy we were riding with had his chain go loose within 5 hours of riding (tightened it mid day, chain came so loose by day's end it stopped him dead on the trail).

I believe the bulkhead issues are real for some but I also believe these result from crashes, not much you can do

I believe coolant bottle breakages, belt blowages (mine still look really good but the clutch does generate a ton of heat), sticking switches, and chain/chaincase issues are real for some. But I also know that these sleds are F'n beasts! Knock on wood mine keep running well.

I have about 1600km on my 165 3" ES now with one blown belt at about 650km. I geared it down to 19-51 and now there is very little belt dust and has about 1000km 0n the belt. I did go over the handlebars once real hard and noticed my coolant jug has white stress marks on it so I almost broke it. I also have a pull start mounted on it so maybe that helped. But no bulkhead issues so far.

Lower a-arm barely bent. (Thought this was made to break off or bend)
cracked suspension module
cracked RH leg cushion (engine module)

850 154", roughly 600km of tree riding. no belts blown, no issues at all, (tightened up chain after first ride, had a lot of slop, will be checking it again this weekend). Hit a couple trees, went through a front bumper and belly pan. Hit a tree a couple weekends ago, it caught the right A arm, stopped me dead and threw me off the sled, but no damage. This sled out performs all the other sleds I've ridden with this year

Mid December fernie area, 165X caught rock under snow in already tracked snow at 2000m where it was already well over a meter deep.
E&S module cracked. Never realized was cracked till back at truck, one ski back from other just thought top aarm was creating that. Sled rode like a champ leading the pack 35kms back to truck. $5200 insurance claim later and I was back riding in a couple weeks. Love the ride, no blown belt at 800kms(knocking on hardest mahogany wood).

650km and no issues with bulkhead / s-module. Still on original belt, but modified clutch cover and added vents for cooling.
And not exactly gently ridden

Theres no relation to the number. Mines 555. Ive heard of several in the 500's now.

now i have blew my first belt at about 760 m might have jinxed it by bragging about not blowing a belt yet

the belt exploded while i was going pretty quick sent me over the front and got run over by the sled
not one chunk of that belt was bigger than an inch long and only about five strings were found anyone else had one explode like that ?.....i guess im gonna have to look into where all the belt went cause there didnt seem to be a much left

Definatly think doos new belt (over 200$) is a big week spot this year.. This is why

replaced a 1000 mile Carlisle belt a few weeks back for the only reason of having 1000 miles trouble free on the turbo sled, replaced with doo newest 200 dollar belt.. Put thirty miles on it for a good break in. Then attempted first hill blew belt just like yours to a thousand pieces, in fifteen seconds of wot, flew over the hood, there was no warning.. Then replaced with the old 1000 mile belt I had taken out with two days earlier and rode the rest of the week and still on it now, will never run doo junk again on it, could of been really hurt or wrecked a sled..

exactly what i was thinking there is alot of times or places where blowing a belt like that and getting tossed off could be the end of that sled and or could cause some serious injuries
