Do you own an 850, Have you broken a Bulkhead

I have no skin in this, I currently own a AC but my next sled might be from any of the manufacturers.

So the rules are, if you own an 850 post, if you own more than one, indicate how many.

if you personally have had a broken bulkhead on your sled(s) include that info, if you want to, tell how it happened.

if you directly know someone who is NOT on this forum who owns an 850, you can post that information, but put some sort of identification that anyone else who knows the same person will recognize. Read the thread before posting these so you see if someone else in your group has already posted.

if you have heard from a friend that their cousins girlfriends uncle has an 850 and broke a bulkhead, forget about it.

if you don't own a 850, don't post.

Lets leave this running until May then count up what we get, I will try to bump it every week if it drops off the front page, but Other than that I am off this thread until then at which time I will go thru it, try to weed the replays from the chaff and post the results.

I have an 850. Broke bulk head. Going down main ttail. Hit a small rock with bottom of the ski and steering jarred while riding. Got back to truck bulk has cracked. Your gunna get alot of negative replies from some of these brand loyal losers who dont see a problem with ski doo. Every sled has problems. If it dont they dont ride very aggressive and think they do.

I ride with 3 850's none of them are on here no bulk heads or s modules broken. 1 head gasket another had a wayer pump and a few belts all under 1000km mountain riding

Own an 850. Hit rock under the snow at around 40 mph. Tossed me over the bars and flipped sled. Zero damage done to sled. Only issue is steering boots had color pop out causing it to fill with snow and freeze. Steering frozen forward. Dangerous on trail. 800 km and zero belt issues. No chain issues either. Overall really happy and impressed with the sled.

2 G4's; one with 1800 km the other with 700 km. No bulk head issues. These sleds are a beast and out perform the T3 in every aspect, IMHO.
Your endorsement is one I can believe. All this crap on here clouds the truth and the ones I have seen in use look like they work good. A trip to see Ken could be costly lol. May have to go with that shot. It is tempting.

You are right; a trip or phone call to Ken usually costs money! He invited me out to the last demo and that was a $33G touch. I always try to tell it like it is and no sugar coating. Some believe my comments, some bash my comments, but in the end I am the one who has to live with my comments.

BTW might be out to get some lake riding with you in March.

Will be around most of March with exeption of mandatory trip to Pincher Creek on 18th.

500km. Belt looks new. Love the sled. It just makes everything easier. Track works really well. No bulkhead issues

600 miles and absolutely love the sled it is better in every way then my t3 was and I loved that sled .....only issue was one recoil exploded while at dealer and today recoil knot broke and I went rolling out of the trailer with handle in hand ......hour later and some angry words back riding

1x g4 165 675km's no broken bulkhead. Of course to break/crack a bulkhead this would require hitting something hard to break or crack a bulkhead.....not regular riding. You want rock proof get full coverage insurance for sled. On original belt that looks great. Had an axys I custom built this year sold it mid year and bought a stock g4 and it is night and day better for power and handling. Best sled i have ever rode.

982 kms and Zero Issues. My dealer talked to me, BRP told him in RENO that the Bulkheads were tested with front impacts over and over trying to replicate riding and the bulkheads passed every test. However now with a few bulkheads breaking, they have simulated another test coming from the side and they had some failures. Thats why the 2018's are coming with an upgrade. I stand behind the fact that if you hit something, with that much power and inertia behind the throttle, something will break. I love my GEN 4, and I buy insurance annually in case I hit something. If it's light and pretty....it's usually not strong! No Belt issues, fit and finish is stellar, power galore, and the best sled I ever owned. I've owned Ski-doo, Polaris, Yamaha over 35 years of riding. Can't say about Arctic Cat.... green doesn't go well with my eye color!

1x 165. No bulkhead issues and no belt failures. (No impacts that i would expect damage). Approx 450km on sled.

Jake, with all those bumpers, you must be in the tight trees. If I have one front bumper a year it is a bad year. Now my wife, that is another story with bumpers!
