I guess it depends on what size you are looking at running. I purchased a set of 34.4" Goodyear Duratracs on 17" rims for my winters on my lifted Dodge. I run a sled deck and I find it's way too much sidewall flex. The truck is all over the road and I can really feel it on the corners. They have amazing grip and I think they would be a really good tire if you don't run too much sidewall height.

I also have these ... 315 70/17 I have only got about 60000 km out of them and real bad cupping ... The side wall roll sucks big time and also you could only get them in an 8 ply in this size ... I am due for some new rubber and I don't think I will be getting these again

I run toyo m55 on my f350. Have had really good luck with them 90-110k per year. I'd say about 70% gravel, work ok in the mud they are a rated snow and mud tire and not too noisy on the highway. Not terrible on ice but you can stud them if needed.
