I agree with you. Its not about being cheap....its the principle. I wouldnt pay for the two nights. I bet if you escalated this to management, or even up to corporate if you need to you could get it worked out. Either way I guess its a good lesson to make sure everything is communicated up front.

In them hills.
Has nothing to do with being cheap. If I pay for 2 nights I expect to stay 2 nights. I don’t like getting screwed of and taking it up the ass like you, keyboard troll.
Was it a new Canadian at the front desk?

Maybe they just don't understand there is a little leeway in this situation........

If you think about it they are charging you a full day for 7am to 11am. Obviously the room wasnt rented so they did NOT lose out on any revenue by letting you throw your bags in there. Pretty shortsighted move on their part.

Sounds like a pretty shi$#y deal. If they let you put your bags in the room when you checked in, then obviously it had sat open overnight. I would call them and ask to discuss the issue with a manager. Makes no sense to me for them to really tick off any customer just for an extra nights fee.

We stay at the Day's every Turkey Day weekend for the last 15 years. This year will be our last.

The room rate keeps going up, They didn't even make the beds when we returned, They wouldn't open up the hot tub upstairs, even though it was a jam packed sausage fest in the lower one. We had a friend jam out on us and didn't need suite. We asked them if we could downsize and save a few $$... NOPE place was filled up with a tour bus.... Wait a minute... Parking lot was empty, and a 50 person coach filled up all the rooms?

We won't be returning with our group of 20...

We checked out and left at 830am
Your post i found a little confusing, though it doesn't take much at times but it wasn't what i understood.
Either way now understanding the situation a little better. Customers are charged from 11:00am to 11:00am the next day. You stay one night or two it doesn't matter. In your case you tookup a room at 6:30am, 4.5hrs before check out/check in. Thus buying the previous day. Then took the room for the next day till 11:00am check out/check in, no matter if you choose to leave it early as check out is still 11:00am. So yes you should be charged for 2 day's fallowing hotel/motel rules.
Was it good service IMO, no it wasn't but its hard to complain if the clerk is just doing their job.

Pretty disappointed at days inn as well, just seams that place is on a downhill slide.., new owners once again

stayed at at ramada in golden last week and rooms were 99 a night, great room, quiet, decent breakfast, hot tube that was hot, cold pool, decent parking, said the ramada in Revy just open and all the same stuff as they have, gave them ten nights up front for that price in either town..

Yep, kinda figured it was new owner again. Already decided that we’re gonna start staying at the new Ramada there is just as much parking if not more and the room rate is much better
