Yes the grooming program has been suspended for now. Also some restraunts are closed. You can still ride but services are effected for sure. Do you have Facebook? Most of the businesses are posting their updates on there

Apparently not everybody got the memo where they are requesting people not travel around for recreation. Stay home and don't risk unknowingly transporting this virus.
Ya ill stay home alright.........., still been working everyday and im thinking being outside where nobody is around is safer than being at home, ill be ice fishing and sledding for the next week, unless i get called in for more overtime

Thanks SP everyone is saying this is crazy overkill blah blah blah but reality is Canada doesn't have the resources to deal with 1000 cases.... In 2-3 weeks we could essentially look like Italy which is doctors choosing who gets to live due to lack of bed and equipment...

Just a heads up people- I’m travelling (van island) decided it’s time to go home. Nothing is open. Restaurants etc, grocery stores have limited supply, gas stations are running out of fuel. Stay home- this is just the start of a serious **** storm. Next week nothing may be open. Don’t end up stranded and away from ur loved ones. It’s not worth it. Take the news seriously.

I don't believe you can over kill or over react to this pandemic, good on you for choosing smart. I read a survey a couple week ago that 39% of the people won't buy Corona Beer due to the corona virus. This is what were dealing with, I wonder why it keeps spreading? 40% don't believe it and 40% are just uninformed or plain stupid. That leaves 20% to try and keep this under control. It always comes down to the 80/20 rule. Stay healthy my fellow sledders.

This is where I am hesitant to agree with our country's current 'response plan'. There is a point where the reaction we take is worse overall than if we take minimal disruptive measures. And it's a tough job to find out where that equation solves at, but we are definitely headed down a path where the reaction is worse, and currently there is no escape plan. It feels like the people who make decisions, from highest levels of federal government to small business management, are too scared of action and liability to have the courage to preserve and persevere. There is a decent chance we all just 'self isolate' until everything crumbles and we are back to an 18th century society.

Humm, maybe I should put a sign up on my stuff saying it’s infected with corona than. Lol

I heard on the local radio Friday night advising that if people go out in the backcountry use extreme caution. The resources may not be as quick to respond if a person needs them.

Why bother chancing it. Come from a big dirty city to a tiny sled town with no resources, minimal healthcare; crazy old people population and . Possibly infect gas station. Restaurant. Grocery store. All while being told to stay home and don’t travel.

why not give it two weeks. See how this plays out. Still be good snow to ride in two weeks by the looks of the forecast.

just because you or others work is shut down doesn’t mean this is vacation time.

im stuck working at a plant with 3000 others in this camp. Not even gonna get into the scary movie type infected people bullchit I have seen so far. This is the last place I want to be but happy to still be working.

Not only that but you may be sitting in the hospital waiting for treatment for a very very long time!! Longer than normal anyways in an infected emergency room
