Grocery stores is the worst place for spreading this virus around. Going out sledding would be rather low if everyone took their own trucks and only stopped at the gas station just to get gas nothing else and used throw away gloves or wiped the gas nozzles off.

Going sledding is about the safest possible activity there is if you're worried about catching covid 19.

Unless some of you stand around on a mountain top jerking each other off, wtf are you going to catch besides fresh air and sunshine.
And in a cold place like a mountain top, the virus is dead in about 3 seconds anyway on a surface. So if your buddy touches your sled seat and he happened to have the virus, by the time you walk back two steps to get on your sled again, its already dead.
Some people sure do over react.
Hell my employees were asked to keep working, and I was asked to keep my business operating.
Talk about traveling and being around people. If the government was really that worried then shut down all trucks and equipment...don't ask for us to remain on the job! I don't know a single person who has the virus, and not so much as one employee has said they feel in danger because of going to work. From the amount of posts grumbling about empty store shelves and such, sure seems a lot of people are still going to super markets a lot...a heck of a lot better to go sledding in the mountains than being in costco or superstore.

your talking about a remote possibility of a few rescue personnel having to rescue one person.

How about the Cashiers in grocery stores, they are literally face to face with hundreds if not thousands of people daily , I asked a cashier in GP the other day if she was eligible for danger pay. She said this is definitely not what she signed up for and was more concerned with taking something home to her family. I feel bad for these people just trying to make ends meet.

Im still working and the crews working for me are in a base camp south of GP. We definitely cannot follow a 6 ft personal space rule out here.
I get the reasoning for trying to contain this virus but some of us do not have the luxury of being able to hide out at home.

so I’m thinking there are far worse things than a few people heading out sledding for the day.( Grocery clerk come to mind)

I would like to know how many people on hear chirping off have been in a grocery store, picking up infected articles from the shelves, then head over to the drive through were they have not had toilet paper for a week and used the buns to wipe their asses on.

My staff and I were asked to attend a quick meeting with two health care professionals, since we were deemed an essential service and asked to keep working.
Those were the two ladies that told us that after -10 the virus dies within seconds on a surface.
So don't blame me!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

If that person is a health care professional she needs to be fired.
Research shows corona viruses can live up to 2 years on surfaces in below freezing temps. It does not like above 24c temps. Which is why you should use hot water and soap to wash with.

Just google how long coronavirus 19 can last in a freezer. Lots of stuff out there and some fear mongering on here by a few for sure. I really get a kick out of the city guys preaching to us that live in sledding towns not to go there or ride. It nice an quiet here now. No loud cans brappping around the parking lots and up the trail so no groomers needed.lol

So I will spend most of my time in my new inferred sauna at 58-60 degrees and I will never have to worry your saying. It thrives in the body with higher temps so Im sceptical on this. This is an evolving virus which we are still learning about stuff. And what we learn today is different than yesterday and so on eventually we will have the full understanding on this but for now I would stay cautious and best way to defeat this is to stay at home and social distancing.
