If you don't get the new guage does it come with bigger intake vents?

Or what fills that space? Good place to Mount a Garmin?

Even better, mount a Trail Tech.

looks like the gauge package might come with a battery, but hard to say with the digital makeup of the sled. The Battery box shows up on the back of the fuel tank with the gauge selected, vs the belt holder without

The trail tech is nice, but thats another gauge to mount and if you want the buddy feature your group all need to have one. Having all your sled info, alarms, and sensors plus the GPS/tracking feature in one unit is more appealing to me. Be nice if the manufactures could play nice so these machines with $1000+ gauges can link together regardless the brand.

OTA updates likely a route to future "plan pmts" revenue model for BRP and others to generate incremental revenue from the sale. .... Pay a $100 a month to keep upto date or run diagnostics ...same route auto manufacturers are going ....

Buddy tracking is worth $$ but seems like everyone is going to proprietary ....like USB c vs lightening ...

Quality of software > screen size

If the software is good and it isn't laggy and buggy that is really the most important thing in a touch screen. If it feels like an iPhone then it's awesome. If it feels it feels like a 10 year old laptop full of malware then you're gonna hate it. The best part about a screen like this is that it can continually improve with software updates.

yes it needs a battery to power it so it can be on when sled off, it will be a smaller battery and lighter than an e-start battery, but still working what it will be

Convince me that this is worth the money.

It's not. People were wanting a gauge better than something reminiscent of a calculator on a $20k+ toy. Brp decided to go full Tesla and offer the opposite end of the spectrum, when really something in the middle (and priced accordingly) was all that was required.

from my understanding it needs cell service, if you look up BRP go on the other units (can am spyder) this is the case. Dave please comfirm

they also need to have the app open, and you need to invite them to your "ride" more tailored for on road stuff. Hope its not true but if it is then lots of refinements' for the future!

Hopefully the screen durabilty is better than the standard "ipad" stuff that's out there. I'd be putting some 3M film on it regardless. Interesting to see what parameters it shows. Cat made a deluxe gauge year ago, had things like stator output etc on it. Sometimes that's a nice thing to be able to check if you are trying to diagnose an issue.
