All the insurance companies now spec jobber parts When your vehicle is older than 30 months. One I know of now is using jobber after 24 months. So cheap. I found this out when I hit a deer and were
Demanding that they use factory parts. I was told that I would have to pay the difference. Almost felt like I was treated like a criminal when dealing with the body shop and insurance company. Once my policy come close to expiration I will move to another company. I am with peace hills since 1986

Peace hills is great. Been a direct repair partner for over 15 years

Opposite actually. It’s a legal right in Alberta to have your vehicle fixed by the shop of your choice. No matter what that repair plan is. Your own policy you signed an agreement to have it fixed their way. You never signed an agreement with any one else’s insurer.

Never said anything about who fixes it, yes you can go anywhere but what parts are used is different. Yes you have an agreement with your company which is why you can get new parts for the first few years. Another company can offer whatever they want for a fix, if you don’t like it only recourse is to sue. They have no obligation to use new parts no matter how new vehicle is.

It wasn’t really is much peace hills it was the company that was handling there claims some small claims company. That would do everything by photos. Had to complain to broker who then contacted claims manager and they got the ball rolling. But those problems I had reflect directly back to the insurance company.

I didn’t end up with am parts and got factory replacement after asking body shop. Body shop did a great job on my paint and fit was perfect. Grove collision

Just saying if all the companies I’ve had to deal with over the years, they are faaaaaaar from a problem. If you were unhappy there don’t go to anything but coop or federated. Economical, aviva, and intact are the bottom of pile.

Maybe on the body shop side, but not for the insured. Had two claims now and both terrible. They’ve lost my business come renewal time, had enough of their BS.

That’s really odd because on my stolen truck peace hills insured truck economical the tools. Peace hills was a fight and so slow, economical was fast and great. I dealt with intact a few years ago when someone ran into me, they were great too.

No personal experience with federated but based on a few others I won’t even consider them, heard nothing but bad things. I also prefer a company that I deal with through a broker instead of direct, so much easier to move if they are awful and to compare rates.

I’ve dealt with Allstate on claims a few times. Very satisfied with the end result. Fixed properly and guaranteed as long as you own the vehicle.
